No. Regardless of party or politics, a remorseless felon isn’t fit for the presidency.

This will be the biggest sanity test the country’s population has ever undergone. The amount of delusion in so many millions, maybe even TENS of millions, is nothing short of frightening. I’ve truly never witnessed anything like it.

It feels so trite by this point to call MAGA a cult, yet I don’t know what else to call it. One man telling you that he, and no one else, can save you. Conformity and unwavering support is required. Going against the group will get you exiled. I mean, local political peer pressure can exist anywhere and for anyone, but in my life I never heard “this ONE person is the answer, and no alternative is acceptable.”

Not only are there countless independent “media” outfits who exist solely to convince people that the obvious reality in front of your eyes isn’t really what’s going, with “alternative facts” (are you fucking KIDDING ME🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️), but there are actual cable news networks serving this hot garbage. But you go on YouTube, etc, and there’s SO MUCH right-wing stuff, not a whole lot of left-wing stuff by comparison. And when I watch something skewed more left, the right is advertising on their videos, lmfao, Prager U, Epoch Times, that kinda shit. My dad is downstairs on his account watching right wing stuff…no left wing ad infiltration on those. One side clearly is feverishly working to spin the story their way, despite obvious reality. Like they legit played the nonviolent moments of Jan. 6th and go “see? Nothing really happened!”, like I didn’t literally watch it unfold before my eyes on live TV that day. Show me some footage of the planes that hit the World Trade Center towers just hanging out on the tarmac pre-flight, 9/11 never happened either🤦‍♂️ It’s almost as if you bitched about riots over a pretty legitimate cause a few months earlier that sometimes got out of hand, but then gave yourselves the ultimate black eye by turning around and having a riot in way worse principle, in a way more potentially impactful way, and now you need to desperately convince us that it was the right move and it’s all good that it happened so every Democrat the next two decades can’t just be like “uhhhhh, remember that time YOU GUYS tried to overthrow the democratic process…. yeah, no one forgets, so shut the fuck up, no one takes you seriously.”

And it’s never, ever some legitimate “oh shit…they’ve all been lying to us!” revelation…. the number one question I have most of the time is “This assertion of yours is absolutely PREPOSTEROUS and beyond parody, so I just want to know: are YOU stupid, or do you think that WE’RE all stupid and would actually believe any of this? Because there’s just no way it could be anything other than one of those two scenarios.”

Watch the interviews at Trump rallies. Faced with ANY measure of a follow-up question, they completely crumble. They have no fucking idea what they’re talking about, they just vaguely think they’re supporting America, which could still be a noble thing, but they just have the wrong fucking angle on just about every topic I can imagine. It also becomes very apparent in short order that their vision for America is for it to be a white nationalist (and likely Christian) country, although if you go full sell-out and disparage non-white people and say they should act more like white people, then you’re accepted as “one of the good ones.”

I watched a less contentious brand of Trump rally interviews where you almost started to understand them, and they’d have some maybe misguided or misinformed, but well-meaning opinion, and you’re like “aw man, this poor guy is just a struggling farmer who feels left behind and is looking for a hero, because they’re not wrong in the sense that politicians are NOT looking out for you as they should be.” But then the next question they’ll go full racist or homophobic or xenophobic, and my heart sinks, and I realize I live in a country of terrible people with terrible values. Like part of the pull for Trump is the Clayton Bigsby (shout-out Chappelle’s Show), “if you have hate in your heart, let it out…WHITE POWER.” Doesn’t mean you hate people on sight, but you have some expectation for them to live like you do, or keep who they are a secret, or else it’s unacceptable. And these people were desert thirsty for a leader to say “don’t let them tell you that you’re wrong for feeling this way!”…. but, like…. you’re wrong for feeling this way, so I don’t really know what to tell you.

At the end of the day, I’m just like “these are not good people when it comes down to it, so making concessions to accommodate their shitty beliefs just can’t be a thing, doesn’t matter who the guy or gal in charge is, it’s this segment of the population that’s the problem. The politicians are interchangeable, it’s the attempted agenda that needs to be stopped, and honestly, I just don’t know how to manage a country properly while still giving bad (or at best, misguided) people some measure of a voice.

I suspect that the respective agencies are going to come with the goods, because there’s NO WAY they’d set themselves up to embarrass themselves and galvanize Trump and his followers. Maybe not every charge sticks, but even some of the surface level stuff seems very damning. Yet, sadly, I’m sure the ruse will continue, and we’ll hear the fix is in, falsified evidence, he’s been over-prosecuted for petty shit, “b-b-b-but hUnTeR’s LaPtOp” (show the hard evidence and convict him, but until then, kindly shut the fuck up, you look foolish). They could have Trump on video, dead to rights, Trump could confess to everything, and whackos out there will still be like “the deep state got to him!”

Holy fuck, man, I just don’t know what we do, because even when Trump is gone, his people remain.

I can't answer that unless it happens, I know the charge on which he was convicted, and I have a good idea of the evidence that was presented. There is no need to rush to judgment, especially when a prosecution seems to be politically motivated.

Fuck politics, the people of this country deserve everything that's coming to them whether he's arrested or becomes president. Not even Trump can save this country from the selfishness of the politicians and the cowardice of its people.

We have thrown away every value that made us strong. We have completely turned our backs on American values. When I read through these comments, on both sides, everyone's just talking nonsense. This country was sold off to large corperations years ago and that's just the surface of it all.

I was watching a youtube lawyer playback audio "evidence" from the Trump case which I guess was leaked... There was almost nothing incriminating about it at all.

People are so narssisistic, lazy and selfish, they would rather hear a sentence which could easily mean anything and let some jerk off being paid by people who we know nothing about tell us that it absolutely means a felony has taken place.

What happened to being objective? What happened to thinking for ourselves because in a free country we should be able to recognize a scam when we see one?

I'm so mad that we let this happen to this country. We must look so stupid to the older countries for falling for this shit. It's propeganda on par with a 3rd world country. We have all these schools and technology and stuff, but we can't tell the difference between someone trying to help us and someone trying to hurt us. Which is practically the American people's only responsibility. We had such a beautiful thing going here. It was so good, people in their 50's still can't comprehend how different things are for young people now.

You know a mailman from back in the day, starting off, fresh out of highschool made; adjusted for inflation, was making more money than people who get their second job after college make now.

You could be just some dude performing completely unskilled (still hard work) labor and make enough money for a house and to go out.

But instead of talking about why Google, apple, amazonetc are so big and why these companies and thousands more are allowed to just hire armies of lobbiests to perform bribes to change legislature to whatever makes them money, instead of talking about how to go back to a competitive market, instead of saying "hey, there's too many monopolies, this isn't what American capitalism is supposed to look like. Isn't it the governments responsibility to make sure that businesses don't get big enough to challenge the authority which citizens gave to them?" we want to talk about how happy we are that some dude who was the president is in jail, yet everything you know about him was told to you by the same people who totally trashed this country and fucks each and every one of us on a daily basis.

Honestly fuck all of you on both sides. Liberals are too hive minded, Republicans are too absent minded, and most of you independents are pussies who don't care anyway. It's like, why are we even talking about this? We're on track to be upstaged by the UK and fucking INDIA.

Whatever, I'm going to bed fuck this bullshit. I got a fever.

There are parallels between Trump and the Gracchi. The plebs were suffering from the elimination of their jobs via mass immigration of a new workforce (slave labor). The Gracchus brothers emerged, channeling populist energy and demanding the patrician class make concessions to the plebs. The patricians had Gracchus derangement syndrome and proceeded to use every dirty trick in the book against them. They engaged in lawfare, thinking of the Gracchi were brought down as criminals, it would crush the populist movement. They eventually killed the brothers. The message was sent and for a time it worked. However, what they lost among a large portion of the population was the belief in the political formulas or myths that gave the Senate legitimacy in the eyes of the people. The next reformer backed by populist energy, Sulla, was much more competent than the Gracchi and also much more brutal. He killed many patricians and ruled like a dictator until he died. Still, the patricians refused to change and continued to hoard more and more wealth to themselves. This ultimately led to the rise of Caesar with massive popular backing.

I cannot support Trump. He has a habit of cowardly throwing people who make sacrifices for him under the bus. He doesn’t understand how power works and foolishly appointed many establishment neoconservatives who hate his guts. But for all of you leftists who think that these indictments will stop the populist discontent that propelled Trump into office, take heed. Just like Roman politics were defined by the Gracchi, to the extreme frustration of the patricians, even though the brothers were utterly defeated, the politics of America will be defined by Trump long after he is gone. And the heavier handed the DC elite get, the more they criminalize questioning the veracity of elections or other aspects of the government, use the media apparatus against their opponents, deprive them of their jobs, debank them, censor them on social media, engage in lawfare, or eventually even worse…the heavier handed the next populist leader will be in response. And if they continue to economically and culturally suppress wide swaths of the population, the republic will fall.

Nobody should support that piece of trash. Take away the 1000 things he does that is despicable and reasons for not voting for that person. Just the fact that he is a traitor to our country that tried a coup that failed is enough. Usually that would be the death penalty. We can hope...

I would only relinquish my support if I know for an absolute fact that his due process rights are respected.

I hope his trial is televised. That way all the lies that could possibly exist, be it from Trump or the establishment, would be exposed for everyone to see.

Trump was arrested and charged for crimes he committed in plain view of the entire country. He is not special because he is wealthy or because he used to be President or because some people like him. All criminals have their activities scrutinized, or at least they should.

This is NOT related to politics. It is related to Trump's behavior.

what does a conviction even mean at this point. bush was never convicted for lying about weapons of mass destruction, which fucked an entire nation and he never got punished. i think it's ridiculous that other presidents have done obviously worse things and even admit to doing it and still nothing happens.

and if the next choice is trump and biden again, i would still not choose biden. for 2 reasons. 1: i think trump had decent international relations, biden provoked the war in the ukraine by putting russia into a position where they HAD to act or lose vital geostrategical points. 2: he's a senile scammer who never got punished for the crimes he commited in ukraine together with hunter.

so even if trump is convicted, i think he still is the better option between these 2. and i'm not even in the conservative camp. i'm strictly looking at how competent is the person for the role as the president. and biden just belongs into a retirement home.

This thing about Biden being guilty of some sort of crimes is simply a republican talking point, which is going nowhere. If you really think that he is committed crimes, then where is the evidence? Trump was indicted based on real evidence that we all witnessed. Biden, so far has not committed any crimes that I can tell since there has been no evidence of that whatsoever. Allegations on YouTube. Do not count in this case as I'm sure you were aware.

I don't think Biden the president has a laptop or if he does, there's nothing special about it. Apparently. If you were talking about his son that has nothing to do with Biden the president whatsoever. If his son committed crimes then that is a separate problem. Unrelated to his father. We don't prosecute fathers for the crimes of their sons.

I think we need to let this laptop. Bullshit go. Nobody cares except Republican conspiracy theorists. There is nothing there.

Not even close to being equivalent. Trump committed crimes in public.

I don't support him now. But the other option is Joey. I'd LOVE a viable 3rd option. I'm just not going to get it.

He would still be a better option than the corrupt, demented woke pervert that is Joe Biden who is attempting to jail his political opponents like a third-world dictator.

If he gets into office he can give himself a free pass and then justice will no longer matter.

Trump isn't on trial in any "court of law"... I see indictments in courts of politics only.

Yes because even Hitler went to jail. All a conviction will do is anger Trump then when he's president we'll wipe out the lefties.

No, I would definitely vote for Biden because he’s smart enough to pay off judges and district attorneys so he doesn’t get arrested for his crimes.
