Does anyone work for a mostly female staffed business or live in a female run community? how is it?

My corporate office is dominated by women even though the CEO and the recently retired CFO are men. His replacement is a woman from the northeast who seems competent, but I think she might be a sociopath.

It is probably the most toxic work environment I have ever seen, to include a literal chemical warfare site. The pettiness and backstabbing are absolutely unreal, though it was at its worst during Covid. The main problem now is that nobody (the women anyway) communicates with each other without pulling teeth. There's a lot of individual competency, but horrendous teamwork to the point of sabotage, but of course none of them are willing to accept responsibility or make even simple fixes.

Living with mostly women has been much nicer than living with mostly men. I wouldn't say that's because women are better housemates though, it's probably just because I knew them longer/better before becoming housemates, so of course we got on better.

Working though, I honestly haven't noticed much difference. Both men and women seem about the same at getting work done though, and at leading and/or working together to get it done.

My first job out of college was in a billing department where I was the only male. It was aweful.

Definitely orse. There was a lot of subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) sexual harassment. It was all in fun for them and I think if they knew how much it bothered me they probably wouldn't have done it, but still it sucked. I lasted almost a year before transferring to another department.

I worked at a secondary school with a female principal. The turnover rate among teachers and administrators was extremely high.

so the staff quit and more come in ok then.
