They are the mudsill party. They specifically represent people who hate their own free will and civic responsibilities but know they can't say that outloud lest they look weak. So, their representatives promise to take all the power for themselves, thus relieving the mudsills of the burdens of choice. Of course, no such thing will happen. They will still get blamed for making the wrong choices even when they aren't given any, but they aren't thinking that far ahead. The bait and switch didn't become a classic con for nothing..

You have no idea of what I have done and accomplished. I guess you think I am a mudsill, which by they way is a very important piece of the house actually? Free will is what I live for, freedom is everything and freedom to me comes from independence and to get personal independence means That I need enough money to not have to depend on anyone or anything. I have accomplished that through a lot of hard work, moving around and taking risks. I think you have a caricature of what a Republican is and I do not know any like that at all. Its a very basic, uninformed view which is so simplistic it seems childish.

@Jersey2 yeah, I remember when I was young and naive I wanted to learn everything so I didn't have to depend on anyone. I was at least a little more realistic about it in that I at least understood that money, itself, was a system of dependency - it doesn't matter how you arrange to keep the machinations of society at a distance with money, you're still depending on it. And letting yourself imagine otherwise is how you justify avoiding your responsibility to maintain it. You have confused free will with only being told to do that which you already want to do, which isn't a big deal, except you don't take ant responsibility when other people are told to do those things, as well. It doesn't matter to you if other people's situations would cause them to sink beneath the ground if burdened with your expectations, so long as you got yours. You are not at all interested in independence from others (or you'd go live in a cave somewhere) so much as you are interested in others not depending on you. This shuffles the tiny bit of responsibility and burden you are avoiding onto others. And when enough people above ground do this, it forces others below ground. Mudsills you'd prefer have no free will and just accept their place, like every other republican in the country with a little bit of money.

It is bery hard for me to track what you are trying to communicate. Its hard to follow your logic. So called mudsills as you put it have a lot of freedom. They can do what they want in this country. They can make just enough to get by and spend their day at the beach or hiking. People do this, some live completely off the grid and take care of themselves for decades. There are even TV shows that document their lives. They can do what they want. They can live in another country and with their English skills and knowledge of the American culture can make money in tourism and live in a cheap country… they have a lot of freedom do live as they wish.

It used to be that blue collar workers were Democrats. Today that isn’t so as the political parties, thanks to the Democrats, have been re-organized by race and sexuality by and large. So white blue collar workers are scoffed at by Democrats who call them dumb, uneducated white men/people. The Democrats don’t talk about the working class anymore which is quite a change from 15 years ago when it was the primary thing they discussed. That was back when Obama had his first term and he went to Harvard.

Republicans are the party of common sense and fiscal responsibility. Democrat was always the party of the working class but now it is the party of the non working class. Union workers, law enforcement, small business owners who used to be Democrats are now overwhelmingly voting Republican. President Trump is mostly responsible for this trend His policies align more with people that work for a living and are raising families.
