Pretty sure the exact opposite is true. Unless, that is, you believe that people with higher levels of education tend to be poorer on average than educated people.

Hillary had the advantage (a big one) for everyone earning under $50K per year. Trump had it for every group over $50K.

Statistia didn't cut the income bands as finely for the 2020 election but the same pattern holds. Biden wins the groups 100K and Trump won over that amount.

I went to college off and on for 20 years. I've been to six colleges in three states. I saw it as it happened. The college curriculum slowly changed to become more and more liberal. Sine the last time I went, it's changed even more.

But there is more to it than that. First, the correlation isn't that strong. There are LOTS of highly educated conservatives. Like where I live people are highly educated, mostly in STEM fields. Yet people vote 70-80% Republican here.

If you want a meaningful correlation, you'd need a heck of a lot more difference between Republicans and Democrats than what there is.

On top of that, I'm sure you realize that conservatives tend to be independent. Or maybe it's the other way around, and independent people tend to be conservative. The point is that independent people have less need of college. They take a different route.

Last but not least. You don't need much intelligence to go to college. You need an IQ of 80 and hard work. It doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot.

It depends what you call education. The majority of people with college degrees are liberals and vote for biden. However, colleges today are mostly indoctrination centers and most college degrees are not worth the paper they are printed on. Degrees in Womens Studies and Stage management are not really hard to obtain.

The actual people that make America work re just as educated as most college students. Small business owners, tradesmen. people in the military and Law Enforcement are all jobs that require a lot of training and the vast majority are Trump supporters.

There is an oversaturation of bachelor's degrees in the marketplace, which substantially dilutes their value. They are worth less each year, while salaries in skilled trades increase in value due to undersupply. 40+ years ago, you would have been correct, but adjusting for recent graduates, a college degree is reaching a break-even point. In my circle of 4 friends, only 1 has employment that uses his bachelor's. The others (myself included) wasted our money and time.
