Man you stupid. You seem to think "Republicans" are some monolithic archetype of "Conservatism". Nope the Republican Party threw out the welcome mat for the Dixiecrat racists in the 1960's when Lyndon Johnson signed the Civile Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. They lost their little racist minds and RAN from the Democrat party to the Republican party.

Now stick with me here. It was called the Southern Strategy. And it worked like a charm. The basic premise was that any vote was a good vote and the Party would be able to control the ignorant insane voter base they just welcomed. So Republicans have stuck with that basic formula for the last 60 years. They have welcomed every group of loser living on the fringe of society in the belief that they could control ALL of the crazy.

And then there are the original idiot Republicans who thought they could control the crazy.

And that is how "Republicans" came to be a coalition of Oligarchs and ignorant uneducated hillbillies. And every other group of filth living on the edge of society. Greed and ambition meet fear and ignorance.
