Every time the Republicans got a big story to release about the Biden crime family , Trump got another indictment. Now the "judge" set the trial date on Super Tuesday. This whole spectacle was designed to discredit President Trump and the reality is that it just reinforced his support and actually made it stronger. The Secretary of State in New Hampshire along with Sununu tried to keep Trump off the ballot. There was such a backlash of support for the leading candidate that they had to rescind it.

It is completely legitimate under the Constitution because we have a federation, not a centralized unitary state. In fact, the DNC had media articles prepared to argue my position on this in case HRC won the electoral college but lost the popular vote. HRC lost the electoral college, so they ran articles calling Trump “illegitimate” due to losing the popular vote. Furthermore, this was designed by the founders for good reason, to prevent the most populous states from lording it over the less populated areas. The founders of this country were very cognizant of the ills of a purely democratic approach to national government. It is insensible and there is no reason to believe it is legitimate to allow 51%, concentrated along the coasts, to lord it over and rule the 49% with an iron fist.

The electrical college was a compromise necessary to get the less populous Southern States to join the United States. That's not the main problem. The main problem is the US Senate where a small minority of voters in rural states can control the rest of the country.

The American system was set up to prevent the most populous states from plundering the rural states. What is “illegitimate” about this? There was a chance to fix it back in the 90s, but exponential growth takes its toll.
