Given the timing and nature of the trials against Donald Trump, do you believe that we are witnessing election interference?

Regardless of your political opinions, imagine that a candidate that you support is in Trump's position right now. All the evidence and charges existed years ago and yet, the DOJ leaders who openly protest and are in opposition to the candidate decide to wait until 6 months before an election, place a gag order on them, place the candidate in a courtroom district where only 6% of people support him and forbid the candidate from leaving the state, which will impede their ability to campaign freely. Would you consider this to be election interference?

The argument can be made but these charges were a long time coming. The DOJ made it clear the only reason he wasn’t charged during his presidency was because he had the immunity of that very powerful political office. Could they be empowered to do this now, so close to election day, because they don’t want him back? Sure, but we don’t even know if he’ll be in jail yet or not

Well that's still 4 years between then and now. Most people get their court dates within 6 months max. I'm almost certain that he won't go to prison but my opinion is that if they try to put him under house arrest, it'll take some pretty compelling evidence for me to be convinced that it's not campaign interference.

You’d be surprised how hard it is to get charges to go through when you have lawyers stopping it at the bureaucratic level. A police officer won’t act without the proper paperwork for a high profile suspect.

For sure. But it’s time to move on now. The democratic party has proven that they will do absolutely anything to stay in power. Continuing to challenge their motives, practices, policies and standards in any way will be the end of you in one way or another. Just stay focused on the fact that they played well and they won. Election interference is what trump is guilty of. I guess it would be inevitable for republicans to start saying holding Trump accountable for election interference is also election interference.
