Why does everyone act surprise when an individual who has lived that life dos something in line with it? I do t know the man, and I don't know ow the entire situation. The pic you added didn't indicate motive. Now violence is seldom the answer, but what was the provocation? And if there was, be careful who you mess with. Right or wrong, it doesn't matter when you're trying to stop blood from getting in your eyes, does it?
I need to know more before I can form a definitive opinion. Now I'm no lawyer, but if it was unintentional it should be the assault equivalent of manslaughter. But either way, it certainly shouldn't be a felony. Misdemeanor at the most.
