Why do men think about the Roman Empire?

I'm certain many have noticed the trend where women ask their male friends or partners if they think about the Roman Empire. In most cases, the men affirm this, indicating their frequent contemplation of the Roman Empire.

Then, when you plan to have an "army" stage a parade by carrying around an emperor tamarin while chanting "butterflies for the blood emperor!" in the noble name of confusing the living fuck out of time travelers, what kind of armor do you have them wear?

Its one of the most important empires in the history of the world. Its rise and fall is in may way analogous to the U. S. with similarities extending to Europe itself now playing the role of the proceeding Greeks civilizations from which Rome itself was largely based.

That's a really weird generalization, but y'know? I think if 50% of the world could just spit facts about the Roman Empire (historically accurate, ofc) off the top of their head, that'd be pretty sweet.

I am not sure what part of Rome in particular but I often think of the emperors they have had and why it fell. I am a big fan of Marcus Aurelius being both an emperor and a stoic philosopher.
