They think threats are sufficient for getting what they want and are frustrated when it doesn't work, but not frustrated enough to deliver on those threats - save for a few fringe psychos. I live in a far right town and the mood that settled on 1/6 was definitely not one of celebration. People around here know I'm of the left and were downright deferential for a few hours, until Fox News came up with some semi-plausible alternative facts to tell them to think. And honestly echos of that mood lasted all the way until the Afghanistan pullout.
