My point being, Israel’s own actions and propensity toward escalation in recent years are to blame for the violent response that led up to this moment.

we can't skip the direct actor, hamas, to blame anyone else.
nor take the side of those targeted civilians in contrast to minimizing civilian death in battle hamas dis opposite attacking civilian towns with deadly rockets and other weapons.

I still think he´s a lunatic because the Versaille Treaty was bad yes but the consequences of his politics was worse. He purposely got the country in another world war. The war was part of his plan. That was stupid. He had negative effect on German culture because not all only Jews left the country. He also got most of the country destroyed and is the reason that patriotism is seen as something bad. When the Second World War was over Germany was brankrupt.

@WhiteBoyChill Many governments in the world including ours are civilian supported unless they are fascist dictatorships, that still doesn't make targeting civilians okay. That would be like saying we all deserve to be targeted based on who our leaders are even though plenty of American didn't vote for and support the current leaders at any given time. In fact the United Nations considers it a war crime if civilians are attacked intentionally during wartime. This wasn't even a wartime act so many will define it as a terrorist act.
