It's only kinda stupid. This is coming from someone who's family started in poverty, got "rich" and went back and fourth through growing up.

I can attest to this and I know a bunch of people richer than I ever was will too. Suffering happens in all sorts of ways to all sorts of people.

You want to know what happiness is? Go watch casey neistat's NY vlogs. That guy has happiness coming out from within. That's the happiness the quote is talking about.

Money just gets you things but that's a very primal, animalistic form of happiness. A long lasting, general feeling of happiness which does not waiver through hardship and dissatisfying situations comes from within. A certain level of self exploration is needed.

Money buys joy, not happiness. Joy is a feeling, happiness is a state.

Money can buy all things to give you the temporary feeling of joy, but it can never buy you the state of happiness in your soul.

For me, happiness comes from being at peace in my soul, and true peace comes only from God. So yes, I do believe the quote. I wouldn’t accept any amount of money in the world if it meant I had to trade it for my peace with God.

My parents are rich but they are not so happy. My father is always overworked and irritable. My mother is also always arguing with her relatives and she expresses regret over how she had to give up her music career in order to raise three children.

Its a stupid politically correct quote. Almost every adult needs money to survive. You need it to buy food, water etc. Without it, youd never be actually happy because you can't do much without money
