NOW is when we really get into “get ya popcorn” time. The dominoes are starting to fall now that the rubber is beginning to meet the road. The Court Of Public Opinion is no longer the venue, only facts matter in a court of law, and Trump and his cronies look like they are only equipped to mount any kind of decent defense in the former. This gives you the sense that the evidence is pretty strong. Both of them folded like a beach chair, lmao. I expect we’ll see the same from most, if not all, of the other co-conspirators besides Trump.

Im not a big schadenfreude guy, particularly legal-schadenfreude, but this is starting to feel a little satisfying to me, just because of all the nonsense we’ve endured for the better part of a decade from the MAGA crowd. You have to hear that every iffy thing Trump has ever been called out for is just because the rest of us are “liberal pussies” or we “hate America”, and you just kind of spin your wheels with these people because they couldn’t give a fuck less about the facts, they just care about walking away feeling like they dominated the argument and got in the most insults, they don’t give a shit about any of it as long as the final answer is “Trump is right, you’re all wrong”, or at best you’ll get some hollow concessions that Trump may be uncouth but he’s the best president in the entire history of forever, lmao.

None of it makes any sense, WE all know this, but now we’re in a venue where it’s strictly about the facts. And you’ll never believe it, but The Party Of Law & Order isn’t a huge fan of law & order when it applies to them and theirs. Now we’ll just hear painfully weak claims that everything is rigged. What specifically? EVERYTHING. Literally everything that doesn’t help Trump is rigged. The entire legal system, every jurisdiction, every court, every judge, every DA, every stenographer is CROOKED!!! The arguments have always been ridiculous, but now they’re pretty easily debunked in court where —I can’t stress this enough— IT’S ALL ABOUT PROVABLE FACTS.

The human psyche is a strange thing. It’s going to be on full display with his supporters this next year or so while we sort through all these cases. But it’s sad, and frankly frightening, that so many people can never, ever just admit to themselves that they bet on the wrong horse, that they got got by a conman. They’ll stick with the sorry excuse of trying to tell you with a straight face that the Democrats are literal COMMUNISTS (name me one declared Communist in American politics, you can’t, it’s just a silly buzzword we’ve been taught to be reflexively offended by🙄) trying to overthrow the government (ironic😂), and the whole thing is a sham, because we’re just afraid of Donald Trump. Holy fuck, guys, come on…🤦‍♂️ I also love how MAGA is the “silent (YEAH RIGHT😂😂😂) majority”….. yet they can’t seem to get a fair shake anywhere because they all work in every other industry except the ones that would be convenient to bail out Donald Trump…but also “big, strong men with tears in their eyes” are profusely apologizing to him when he’s being charged and booked. Honestly, it’s like dealing with a small child lying to you, it’s so obvious, and they’ll just say any fantastical thing that they think will get the heat off of them. But I think this all goes to show how much trouble people have with admitting they were wrong. And the MAGA movement calls for pretty intense devotion —it feels trite calling it a “cult”, but I mean, the shoe fits, soooo…— and when you fully sell out like that, I can’t imagine it’s easy to acknowledge that the entire personality you’ve assumed the las eight years or so has been misinformed and misguided, that’s understandably embarrassing. And I just don’t think most people have it in them to admit they were wrong about this guy, in the face of literally any and all strong evidence. Even if Trump confessed everything, I don’t think they’d believe it. MAGA has generated an entire industry of story-spinning, they’ve probably already got this contingency covered, that the Deep State got to Trump and controlled his mind, or they killed him and made an AI confession…. there is absolutely nothing too crazy for these guys to still look you in the eye and tell you it’s true.

So they’ll all be in a tailspin, this will only jack up the false narratives, and in the end, no matter the outcome, no matter what dirt is exposed, everyone will be wrong except their lord and savior Donald J. Trump, you can bet the farm on that. But the rest of us living in Sanity City can sit back and get a lot of the answers we’ve been waiting for, and nothing previously tried in the the court of public opinion will matter or hold any water anymore.

Thanks for admitting that this is just about „getting Trump“.
Powell snd Chesebro pleaded guilty to much reduced charges that won’t even keep them from practicing law in the future. So either the prosecutor hugely overcharged them (which is at best unethical) or let them get away with very serious crimes.
Chesebro‘s lawyer says that he doesn’t think any testimony from Chesebro would hurt Trump.
