Would you go ahead and take the interview?

I applied for a promotion within my company, in another department. I had an interview about a month ago and didn't hear back. Today, I received an email wanting to schedule another interview. The issue is, the job is 3rd shift, and I just don't really want to do 3rd shift anymore, I get almost no sleep. I've been applying for day jobs, but there isn't a lot out there right now. Would you take the position even though there is the possibility of not staying?

What would this promotion do for you in terms of long term training for your career set? If it would be a boost to your resume and skills I would say take it for a year. Gain enough through it you ca use it as a stepping stone towards your next move. But the. Again, I don't have a lot to go on. I'm sure you'll figure something out. I would take the interview, even if I have another job lined up. Practice is important and hard to get.

But if it's my only job interview and I have nothing else lined up, all take the 3rd shift. I'd try to negotiate a pay raise if I originally applied for something not 3rd shift.

How much more would you get paid per hour? No I wouldn’t want to work all night long and sleep all day. And you can’t run your errands or even go to the bank like that

You need to upgrade your skill sets. If you had better skills they would want you in the morning when all the customers are around, bruv.

I wouldn’t. That would mean you are committing to something you aren’t that interested in , which is a waste of time
