I'd do it for free, I once fantasized about it even and I'd know how I would have approached it pre-election season. Trump does what he calls the "Weave" where he will barely answer your question, go to a talking point he wants people to hear and then switch back to the real answer. So you got to account for that. I'd have began the interview listing every talking point we already know, explain to him this interview is targeted to an audience that already watched 10 other interviews, cite what he'd normally say about it and then ask him an in depth follow up question to substantiate it.

For example you know in advance he's going to bring up the border, illegal migration, fentanyl, etc. So you can acknowledge his point by citing his usual talking points and then ask how he plans to achieve this border security in more detail since in his first term he did not manage to cover the entire border. How does he plan to achieve proper funding for it this time? And then he is in a position where he is forced to answer because you already demonstrated you are aware of the talking point.
