Why do people get angry when you cuss around kids?

I don't really know but just wanted to point out the "going to learn at some point" thing is flawed, for example when it comes to sex. If there is one thing we can all (except republicans) pretty universally agree they aren't ready for and should be protected from, then it follows there are other things, too. I don't quite know what the cost/benefit of denying them knowledge of cuss words might be, though. My best guess is giving them that "valve" to imagine they are blowing off steam might hinder their brains' attempts to find other more productive ways to do so.

Because brains develop and different rates and teaching them how to be angry and insult isn’t wise as they can not understand their words

They think it breaks their innocence or some shit like that. Our 1yo hears us cuss and it doesn't make her any less dumb then other kids her age. She still just said dad as her first word. It's rlly not that deep lol

Not sure why. I cuss around my kids but just teach them that those are adult words and they can't say them till they're adults

Yeah being honest though my 9 year old does occasionally cuss now but I let it slide lol

They have different values than you. Kids will repeat something when they are young enough and not understand not to use it.
