If a person murdered another person you really liked and cared about. Would you prefer them to get deathly penalty or life in prison without parole?

Life without parole. Ideally, I'd just have one of their loved ones killed, so they have to live the rest of their lives with the same pain I have to experience. But since that's considered "cruel and unusual", I'll take the life without parole. I might still have one of their loved ones killed anyways. I don't really want to, but that would be the only way for them to experience the same pain I did. But surely, if they were capable of murdering someone, at least one person that's close to them must surely be a violent criminal too that society could do without.

Life in prison. Killing them by the state in a weird way makes them immortal in folk lore and legend.

People remember Ted Bundy. Compared to the Golden State Killer as famous as ted 45 years ago and was only caught in 2020 and i took 20 minutes to remember that. The death sentence to me looks like a cherry on top for them. When they should be put away far from sight left to rot in the back forgotten in the dark.

Lawyers make money breaking sentences. If life was actually life, I'd support it. But lifers should be given the option of the needle at any time.
