Haha , Après moi le déluge ! For the record, Louis XV used this phrase after the defeat of the Seven Years' War.

I hope you and your family are well. Please take care of yourselves.

I think I can say most things that I wanna say in French. It's not perfect but good enough to hold normal discussion. If I need to explain something that I'm not familiar with it gets difficult though

What noises do animals make, things like woof, moo, baa, quack? I know different languages have different words for them.

The dog says ouaf ouaf or wouf wouf, not woof woof.
The cow says meuh, not moo.
The sheep says bêê, not baa.
The duck says coin coin, not quack quack.

That is a good one. Alledgedly the ancient egyption for cats was meows. It is too good to be true I think.

Moving along on this theme, English has collective nouns and it seems they came into being at a point in time and froze. Some of them are quite odd.
      e. g. a gaggle of geese, a murder of crows, a parliament of owls, a school of fish,

      Any weird French collective nouns?

Interestingly where dogs make very different sounds in different languages cats don't deviate from meow much

Sure is interesting animals make different sounds in different languages. Got the Egyptian for cats wrong a bit - it is miu. They did nickname people after cats too.

Think so. Probably spelt using continental vowel sounds and would come out more like mee-oo.

Apparently we ( well egyptian scholars) do know how to pronounce ancient Egyptian which is quite cool.

How about, "I used to study French in school, but I have forgotten almost all of it"?

I try it and because I really have forgotten I say, "J'ai etudie francais dan l'ecole, mais j'ai oublie beaucoup".

What are some idioms to express that something is easy or that you are very confident you can do it.

For example, in English we say "piece of cake" or "I got this" or "no sweat."

Quebecois and pretty much every other dialect that isn't Metropolitan French😂

But I prefer to say it in the manner of the great French author Edmond Rostand

“Un baiser, qu’est-ce? Un serment fait d’un peu plus près, un aveu qui veut se confirmer, un point rose qu’on met sur l’i du verbe aimer ; c’est un secret qui prend la bouche pour oreille.” Edmond Rostand

      Translation

"What is a kiss? An oath made a little closer, a confession that wants to be confirmed, a pink dot that we put on the i of the verb to love; it's a secret that takes the mouth for an ear." Edmond Rostand
