It is mostly true because females are the reproductive limiting factor.

If I need to explain what that means... imagine you have 1 year and 100 people to make as many NEW people as possible. If you have 50 men and 50 women, then you could probably increase the population by 50 in that one year. If you have 20 men and 80 women, you could increase the population by 80. If you have 80 men and 20 women, you could only increase the population by 20. In a more extreme example, if 99 of the 100 people were women and there was only 1 man, that 1 man could still impregnate all 99 women within the first 3 months and you'd end up with 99 new humans born.

What I'm saying is that it is the number of women that makes the difference. Only 1 man is needed. All the other men are just spares, and they basically have to find alternative ways to make themselves useful to avoid being a waste of resources.
And since men have always been so very disposable, they've mostly adapted to being good at violence... and by extension, other physical labour.

I see what they mean, it's partially true. Women historically haven't had to do much to be seen as valuable. Just look pretty and be fertile, but men have always been the work horses of society.

Men value themselves with how much money they make, what they can do, and how they can take care of their partners and or children.

There's of course been a huge societal change now where women are now in the work force and women are supposed to be treated equally as men.

Honestly the way that question is worded, I think that person just feels underappreciated, which is understandable. Guys love being praised for what they do and their appearances but we rarely receive compliments.

Disagree. Men have always controlled society because they historically valued themselves over women. Women are still considered lesser, as men have no restrictions on their bodies when it comes to reproduction, men can sleep with many women without issue but if we have more than 3 partners we can be seen as used goods.

I don't agree. Men and women are both valued from birth but for very different reasons. They make have different values based on looks and skills from birth, but that's for both.

I've had exes ask why I like them, and the answer was for their personality. They didn't have to work hard to just be who they are and still be appreciated.

To say that men have to 'earn' value is to say that they are the only people who have to go to work, exercise to look good, and socially nerwork to build a reputation. We all do. No woman is born with a perfect body, likable personality, onslought of respect and can immediately wed a rich guy so they never have to work.

Everyone is born with value whether they are guys or girls or anyone else.
Ask the parents who gave birth to their children, you would know how much they value them.
But the statement is not completely wrong in this regard that men and women both have to work to increase their value "not create but increase".
And if they don't work on it they can also decrease their value in the society.
