A lot of young people seem to blame the boomers, but not once have I heard a justification for it. Yea, it's a scapegoat. It's always easy to point fingers and vastly over-simplify things.

Our current conditions are the results of hundreds of years of history. The current political environment at any given time is the result of at least 3-4 generations who are of an age to have some influence on things. NO single generation can have that much influence. It's just not possible. It all builds on what came before.

Of course the boomers made some changes. In some cases some very big changes. Some were good and some were bad. Some were long lasting, some were short lived. Was the net affect of their influence good or bad? I don't know. I think it's a little of both. That will be true of every generation.

Plus, "boomer" is not a generation like other named generations. Most named generations have certain traits in common. Boomers just happened to be born at a time with lots of births. The early and late boomers were like night and day. There was more difference between early and late boomers than there is between boomers and any other recently named generation.

the so called baby boomers is the real greatest generation/ The boomers have reshaped America and brought it into the 21st century. They questioned government and believed that America can do anything.

The country is in a slump right now but it is not the boomers that caused it. All the people who installed a puppet leader in the white house are responsible.
