Are there conspiracy theories, from which followers are a bigger problem today, than the theory being real would be?

A conspiracy theory from which believers make more real problems, or are a bigger deal, than if the theory would be true.
It can also involve things that if real or not, make no difference for today's situation, but people make a fus about anyway.
Imagine people saying that the word 'dove' was originally written douve (just a random example). Followers of the theory try to storm national archives to 'find the truth' and destroy national important books in the process.
Thats just a random crazy theoretical example, but lets be honest conspiracy theoriest can get quite crazy and logic is something most of them are missing.

Yes. That's how ww2 happened. Theories with no proof. Germans said their government was run by traitors. Others said germans did a holocaust while they were the ones bombing and shooting supply trains within germany. If germany blew up all the trains to the Japanese internment camps America had I wonder if they would've starved to death too.

No they didn't. They rounded up the perceived enemy, which America did to the Japanese living in America. America also made speaking german illegal, before ww2 German was the 2nd most spoken language in America because people wanted to read all the philosophy and shit in actual German. So lets make one thing clear during the third reich starting around 1941 the holocaust DID happen!! Nazis deported and later killed jewish people and every political enemy like for example communists. That was during WW2 starting officially in 1939.

Deportations and things like the 'Kristallnacht' did happen earlier. The systematic slaughter, genocides and other gruesome acts we call holocaust today were probably planned but started after the start of the war.

There's no NARRATIVE being told there to make anyone "feel good". The FACT that Jews and other groups had been deported from other lands is a straw man and irrelevant to this discussion. If someone wanted to use these deportations as justification for the state of Israel, THEN you have a narrative. But that's not this discussion.

It's also pointless to argue that "technically, the holocaust is a RESULT of Hitler's policies and the war, but he never set out declaring 'I'm going to create a holocaust". It was clearly the Nazi's intention to further their own master race while subjugating, enslavement or slaughtering those who were not Aryan enough.
