Thoughts on the rise of the far right in Europe?

Just by looking at your graphic, your propaganda is blatantly obvious… Fidesz is a center left/liberal activist movement that opposes Maxist-Lennist government. Just because they lost some of their members to the Socialists in the Democrat party doesn’t mean they are right wing at all. An adoption of a Nationalist political position isn’t a right wing idea either. For example, Nazi Germany were “National Socialists”. When the Atheist Socialists of the French revolution revolted against the Catholic church, they formed a nation governed by “reason” in opposition to clerical power. The idea of nationalism directly opposes Monarchy. That is to say a nation is of the common people. It is a group of people that have common language, culture, history, direction, etc. Nationalism is a left wing idea that opposes the traditional order of royal hierarchy and puts the power in the hands of the people. So clearly Fidesz is a moderate left wing party, yet they are your primary example of “far right” politics. Just because you are a radical left wing socialist doesn’t mean moderate left wingers are “far right”. What it indicates is that you are an extremist and you are out of touch with reality.
What the f*uk are you talking about?
I oppose lefties and their woke b*llshit and I believe their their irresponsible immigration policy has led Europe to what it is today
I oppose this term in case you don't know
Then, just to be clear... PiS in Poland is not a right-wing party as well. They went for socialist incentives to boost the birth rate, and as one might expect, it backfired badly. The heavy toll their rule took on Polish entrepreneurs due to heavy taxes to support the socialist policies is not right-wing, as well. The only thing they did that is commonly related to the right wing was to resist illegal immigration, and it sure seems they were actually corrupt enough to sell visas to those wealthy enough or having a wealthy sponsor, circumventing the proper visa procedures, thus making the immigration seemingly legal.
@CalmUntilAbused Most of those groups are moderate left if not all of them. The socialist tactic is to label moderate left as "far right" in a propaganda narrative to shift the Overton window.
Lets clarify what far right means. I think it is some who doesn't accept gender is fluid. The Left wants to pretend they are Nazi for not accepting Left bullshit.
Ireland is worth looking at because of the riot. The Irish fought for independence as a Celtic nation. The Head of Diversity Equity and Inclusion is wanting to build a diverse non Celtic population and is proudly boasting they have got to 12% now.
Having only clocked up 102 years of Celtic nationhood some of the mere 5 million Celtic Irish population might not be charmed by the Left wing concept of diversifying them out of their Celtic cultural heritage. It could be a little tone deaf of the gov't.
There has been heavy immigration for a nation of it's size. Immigration immediately impacts housing for the obvious reason that everybody needs somewhere to live. More immigrants immediately translates to more competition and more expensive housing. That will make some people angry. Where the riot was immigrants were being put up in a 5 star hotel. Tax $$$ also anger.
In my own country Australia the gov't has slyly doubled immigration without telling us. Not surprising people are struggling to find rental accommodation. Our Prime Minister is already a dead man talking.
In every immigration influx there are always cultural issues and usually some crime issues. Sweden has become dead against immigration because of this, when it was welcoming in 2015. Britain brexited. A crime provoked the Dublin riot.
It really is not surprising that a nation like Ireland should react very adversely to the Left conducting social experiments. I'm happy to bet on a hard right swing in Ireland at their next elections
A lot of eu countries are not simple 2 party systems like in America. In multi party systems it doesn't take much for one party to edge ahead slightly but the sum of the remaining ones far exceeds the winner, ie most people voted for someone else and will grumble. In reality it's hard for any one party to get cross party support and it makes it hard to keep any election promises.
I predict a surge in right wing violence against minorities that will push voters back to the left. It's swings and roundabout, left, right, left, right round in circles nothing changes
But how did they rise to power in the first place?
@purplepoppy THANKYOU. The swing left to right has been going on since Roman times.
It is a good point on much of EU not being a two party system. Most of the anglosphere seems to prefer two party systems but it isn't necessarily so that there aren't sub-parties within parties. It also seems to be electoral death if fracturing occurs within a party.
Instead of physical violence, there could political moves that encourage non-ethnic populations to leave and mechanisms to strip host country citizenship. For example removing dual citizenship. Testing for how thoroughly an immigrant has adopted the host country's culture. And simply payment to "go back where they came from".
It comes down to left wingers completely ignoring the public. The EU took in millions of economic migrants from the 3rd world who have no education, no skills and no desire too work and are a burden on the taxpayer and responsible for a lot of the crime.
Loom what happened in Dublin recently, instead of listening Irish left wing politicians just doubled down.
You completely got a point , and I saw what happened at Dublin, it's sad that lefties choose to be politically correct rather than addressing the real issues

Lolz, the use of "Far Right" immediately tells me that is some Liberal propaganda, and my brain turns off as I label it as gay liberal shit.

They've become offensive to anyone who just wants to be normal, not get flooded with economic migrants that will take every low-wage job there is if they work at all and who's kids will bring all the crime you can't manage, suck up all the tax money and spend it on bullshit, freak out about the flu, creates a racial/sexual/gender bender hierarchy amongst themselves, and 9 times out of 10... they just don't make any sense.
I sum all of that up and more as just "gay liberal shit."
The "Far Right" is nothing but a needed reaction to all this gay liberal shit.
@Tapeworm If they're tracing words like YouTube does, then it might be wise for us to start speaking in code like YouTubers do. For instance, instead of r@pe, we can say "snuggle struggle." Instead of H! tler, we can say "Bad guy from WW2" and so on.
"Bipoc Whamen know I'm a hoowite supreme and they'll get a snuggle struggle in the underground depths beneathith thy Mother's house." <--It's still funny... and gets my trollish message across still.
The downside to it is every damn grammar Nat-xi there is are going to point out what I miss-spelled because they think they're so smart and don't even realize they're pointing out something I did on purpose. Masters of proper grammar, but they can't pull the meaning with context out of a cat's litter box. I will have to practice my "tolerance" with them until I can introduce them to the "final solution."
@Tapeworm Alternative characters work... You'll notice I did that subconsciously with the base words that I know an algorithm would latch onto. !=I @=A $=S or even a few missing letters replaced with * is always an old-school winner. I like misspellings though. It allows me to say Weiner instead of winner. Also some alternative ways of saying things... like "snuggle struggle" are just phucking hilarious.
I should ask a question like "Was this snuggle struggle justified?" ... and then tell a little story of me taking advantage of a non-barely-legal whamen that was just really sleepy because I let her try my gamma hydroxybutyric acid, ketamine, and rohypnol mixed in a drink. It was a snuggle struggle and it was easy for me to win...
... at the game of chess we played because she was so sleepy. Then we battle rapped and I think I won that one too. I mean I rapped her so hard and fast, she didn't stand a chance.
See what I'm doing there... dancing around something really really offensive, but at anytime and can turn to any accuser of being a bad bad man and turn it on them. "No, why would your sick mind think of such a thing!" ... and basically, reverse accuse them of what they're trying to point out about me.
Sometimes I'm like in a flow state with that kind of sh! t
On my first account I mockingly asked while offering a sample. If we post YouTube videos the thumbnail on the question is the thumbnail of the first video attached. So you can make a useless video first, and the second video also attached will contain an offensive thumbnail. The good thing is you can change the thumbnail on youtube at any moment. When the question gets reported, before the admin sees it I can change the thumbnail of the second video to something non-offensive.
Never did it but seemed like a strategy unless they start taking screenshots.
Is this "far right" or "leaning right?" Those are mutually exclusive claims, and like it or not, the former is virtually non-existent beyond propagandistic talking points.
It's not hard to explain: the people living in those countries are sick of being sold out as vassals to EU globalist elites, and international concerns being cited as reasons for their own governments to ignore domestic problems. It is common sense, not (or at least shouldn't be) a "right-wing" belief that your nation's government should be looking after the nation (the people who put them in power in the first place) first and foremost.
I'm not so sure there HAS been a rise of the far right in Europe. I think the issue is more that some commentators seem to think that if you put ANY restrictions on immigration rather than just saying "HEY EVERYONE! C'MON IN AND WE'LL PAY FOR IT!" that somehow makes you "far right." It doesn't. That's just sensible policy. But for whatever reason the estabilished parties--both in Europe AND the US--seem to have ZERO interest in addressing one of the most pressing concerns of the electorate for decades now. So, the voters are chucking them out and giving a go to anyone who even MIGHT try to progress this issue.
I've seen some parties who demand regulating immigration be labelled as anti_immigration
Yeah--that's nuts. That's known as anti ILLEGAL immigration. Which would seem to me to be a totally reasonable stance.
Anti_mass illegal immigration to be precise
Yeah. It would seem to me that most people in non-shitty countries would be big fans of that kind of policy.
I live in a shitty country and just like any other African country , people here feel like they are entitled to live in west unconditionally
Sure--and I understand that. It's the fault of the morons who run our countries in Europe or the US who don't crack down on that shit.
Political correctness and white guilt is gonna destroy the west
Yeah. We just need to beat the woke-tards down and then things get better. I don't think normal people have all this guilt OR give a shit about political correctness. But yeah--if that's not gotten under control it will be a mess.
I think its wonderful to see the people of Europe finally start standing up for themselves and being proactive about their issues instead of reactive.
Hopefully soon, Europe can take care of itself instead of relying on America's security umbrella.
If that happens then America can finally start solving it's own domestic issues instead of everyone else's.
In Poland PiS actually lost the election, even though they got 35%.
And - in most cases these parties are not really far right. They are anty-immigration, but are not really conservative on social issues. Their stances on abortion, gay marriage, drugs, euthanasia etc are either very moderate or even left wing.
For example Geert Wilders (leader of Dutch PVV) says he wants to reduce immigration from Muslim countries, because otherwise Dutch homosexuals would be in danger.
Countries are seeing the damage done by failed liberal policies and voting the liberals out of office. Argentina and The Netherlands were the latest countries to do so. The US will be next.
propaganda is propaganda. that "far right" terminology is sure used to scare people though. hehe. But the gubberments want you to be okay with gang rapes in the streets, and knife attacks, along with acid attacks because "it's part of their culture" where they came from. Perhaps that has something to do with people's anger in this situation.
might have something to do with the fact in many instances of immigrants arriving to european countries one or several of them turn out to be terrorists and bomb, or shoot up cities.
Because terror, and the immigration bring terror into Europe.
In my opinion the exten of terror depends on the numbers of immigrants and where they come from and how european countries deal with them
I'm more worried about the far right MAGAs in the USA at the moment
Sure you are. 🙄
Populism, just blame every problem on the current government, and kick down as low as possible.
A direct response to Muslim immigrants and the rape and religious intolerance they bring
What the hell are you talking about?
Sorry, the above reply for was for another comment 😅
And yes you are right , this is just a chain reaction to the behaviour of muslim immigrants
Certainly, it's a knee jerk reaction to mass immigration. We elected a right wing government and immigration went up.
This should help you understand.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/SMqIlmbVa-EPolitics is cyclical. It will go back eventually.
It’s happened throughout history - people figure out when they’re being erased and they fight back. It’s not up to the WEF to decide where you get to live.
I suspect that mass immigration, resulting from climate change, has been a big factor in the rise of fascism or communism all over the world!
Modern day conservatives are basically the Christian Taliban?
Right wing populism is sprouting around the globe. Not totally unforseeable. Regretful tho.
It doesn't affect me, so I really don't have an opinion.
Good!! More!! More!!
