Now it’s economically more important for women to work and men to get in there and start cooking more for themselves.
I could not care less what a girl does, as long as she's happy. If she's happier staying home and I can provide for both of us, then she can do that. If she prefers to be a busybody and work and help pitch in even if I make enough for both of us, that's also fine... it means more money to spend on dining out or ordering delivery plus vacation money. And if I don't make enough, she should be willing to help out financially if she can. In a relationship, we're a team that should have the goal of making each other happy.
It’s good to be flexible, because it can depend on what stage of life you’re at.
Some dishes I’m good at, others not so much. I can make good Stuffed French Toast (see pic). Pancakes, grilled meats, bread with a bread maker.
As far as work, again, flexibility. It’s probably better if both spouses work without kids.
With kids, my cousin is a SAHD who decided with his wife it’s better he raise the kids to primary school while she made partner at her accounting firm.
It depends on the couple and what they want.
exceedingly important. I would not have married my wife if she had a corporate job I wouldn't have even dated her if she was a career woman. I know how to cook and I do cook regularly but if I am tired I want my wife to be able to cook for me. so a woman who can't cook is an automatic no. a woman who can cook but refuses to for her man is also an automatic no.
Relationships are divided into different roles. For instance I work longer hours and bring in more money so my girl does most of the cooking, cleaning and laundry. She thought the arrangement was unfair but i gave her the choice that we contribute 50/50 into utilities and she pay me keep (about half what rent would be), as well as food or she does the most the housework.
Fuck that shit. I want a girl that’s ambitious, attractive, independent, rich, smart, and knows how to cook. She doesn’t have to cook all the time though, but she should be able to appreciate high quality and value, and at least hold a convo with Gordon Ramsay.
I don't need her to quit her career just to cook for me. I'm not helpless. I don't need a mommy. I do want a loyal, trusted, loving life companion, best friend, and sex partner.
I don't care if she works or not. I do know that I'm not cooking two of every meal from now until I die so if she's useless in the kitchen that's not going to work out.
He needs to cook too. He can get in there and whip up something nice for us
Pretty important. I don't mind going out or getting takeout sometimes. I don't mind cooking if she doesn't mind eating it.
This how she be cookin
Not important at all.
I can cook just fine, she might not like cooking. Not at all, I can cook with proficiency
