I was annoyed that Newsom kept dodging the questions and they kept talking over each other, and getting personal, but some good points were brought up by both of them.

I would like to see a debate between Newsom and KJP.

"Hello, my name is R2-D9. Sean couldn't make it tonight, because I killed him in the parking lot. Let's face it; when it comes to moderating a debate, Sean is about as useless as screen doors on a submarine. I'll be hosting the first Blue VS Blue lying debate. I'll be asking questions, and you will both have four minutes to tell lies to the American viewers. If you lie when it's not your turn, I'll kill you.
"Karine... is our Southern border secure?"

"Yes. It's the most secure border in the world. And we owe it all to...

"California has the lowest crime rate and lowest taxes in the world, and DeSantis is a serial killer who likes high taxes."

"Gavin, it wasn't your turn to lie. I'm going to need you to come with me out into the parking lot. Nothing personal."
Okay
Newsome dodged most of the questions, and every single answer he did give was a lie. It seems pretty obvious that he was chasing soundbytes rather than making a serious defense of his governance.
Hannity's questions were also worded in such a way to make him look worse, which was unprofessional and frankly unnecessary because basic facts and statistics are overwhelmingly against Newsome anyway. He could've at least attempted to be neutral.
DeSantis did well, though it's evident that he doesn't really know how to hammer a point home. The debate was one-sided in terms of presentation, but Ron was his own worst enemy here because he frequently rolled past what should've been the punchline in his answer to keep adding more to the answer. The result is that nobody who watched it is going to remember a single thing Ron said.
I'll admit, I don't think Sean did a very good job as a moderator. And yeah, it annoyed me that Newsom would just rant against Ron's policies, rather than justifying his own. He couldn't even say one thing he likes about Florida😂, but what do you expect from a Leftist.
I think Fox could've still hosted the debate, but I agree they should've gotten someone more neutral to moderate and maybe an on hand fact checker.
And I wish they would've stopped talking over each other. I definitely feel Sean cut Ron more slack. Like Ron said, "California's homeless problem is the result of Leftist policies." Okay, well what specific policies?
I agree with you that both of them did well in trashing each other's states, but neither of them really made a valid argument for why their policies are better.
Ron trolling him with the feces map and comic book were probably the highlights. But in terms of dialogue, I agree that there wasn't really anything that stood out.
I'd probably give Newsom a D+, because I did agree with him on a couple points and De Santis I would probably give a B-
Newsom scares me. He reminds me of a used car salesmen.
