I’m certainly not qualified to run the experiments and make the official assessments. I’m a relative layman in Psychology, other than a couple classes I just took for Gen Ed requirements or a vague interest compared to other options. I’m not here to provide any academic insights on this one, I’m just saying that the official results don’t differ much from what my presumptions based on my own life experiences and personal interactions in life and via the internet.

I really don’t endeavor to be rude, and I’m actually an uncommonly polite person in my usual dealings. I’m a good times guy, I don’t like conflict.

But what’s happened here is that a large portion of America showed me their true colors, and what they do and don’t prioritize in life, and I have to say…. I’m so far past “disagreement” or even “offense”…. I’m shocked and horrified.

What MAGA is trying to tell me right now, that equates to your counter-argument being “Not true. The sky is very clearly plaid.” That’s NOT a valid argument. That’s preposterous, fantasyland bullshit.

I do have to say I find it ironic that the people you presumably support politically would criminalize homelessness, want them out of sight and out of mind. It’s never done compassionately, it’s city ordinances to make it impossible for homeless people to exist there.

Our society should both be helping them, but also respecting them remaining in that lifestyle, if that’s how it goes. It’s gotta be ok either way, otherwise you’re giving people shit. And my number one rule in life is “Don’t give anyone shit who didn’t legitimately bother you first. And “existing around you in a manner you don’t personally like” absolutely does NOT qualify as “bothering you first.”
