Australia. I'd think. I read that Australia has 20 of the 25 most venomous snakes in the world. I watched a video the other day of a golfer getting attacked by a kangaroo etc. I get the feeling that all the wildlife is intent on killing you in Australia. I always assumed that's why everytime you meet a Australian they absolutely crackers. Because they're just trying to survive and get home each day.😂
Actually all the poisonous stuff in Australia aren't intent on killing cats or people. They bite us because we inadvertently make them feel threatened.
But in the US, coyotes are actually intent on killing cats.
I imagine it is about the same. I had one of my cats killed by a coyote in broad daylight. He came right up on my deck and carried my cat off into the woods. I found him a week later.

Both counties have predators that will take a cat and of course birds that will fall victim. But your cat isn't going to get shot in Australia.
You do know that cat are killed by people in Australia. Look at the teenagers in Sydney who kidnapped the girls cat and tortured it to death. Yes they were arrested but while cats may not get shot they are the target for some people

Much the same I think. There are council restrictions where I am. I am no dove lover and I praise my tabby when he kicks a goal but I don't trust other people. He was a rescue so he probably got lost before - that is what I think would be irresponsible.
All cats in Australia must be registered , and they certainly can no longer " wander around " , not legally anyhow , cats are extremely dangerous to native wildlife.
Supposed to keep cats indoors, yet my neighbour allows her cats to wander at night, and they get into our yard.
@NotInterestedSorry Yes , or a cat run ,
But as I alluded to , many do not follow and near impossible to police...
And is a tenant going to have a cat run? Highly unlikely..
And here in Thailand they roam everywhere :)
Worst that can happen to it in the US is it becomes road-kill or coyote food. In Australia EVERYTHING can kill it. The bird eating spiders, the kangaroos, the platypus. I'm exaggerating a little, but yeah... Aussie tourists ain't gonna cut it
Yeah there are more poisonous things in Australia but they won't actively hunt cats. The same can't be said for coyotes.
Depends, I've seen many a stray cats strive especially in America Urban cities where there's not much in terms of a predator after them.. I don't know about Australia.. Maybe theu could thrive in Urban areas there as well..
Yes I believe so
