The last time he was in office the military lied to him about the location of troops abroad and disobeyed his order to pull out of Syria. Then they bragged about it. Trump doesn’t have the military, he doesn’t have the GOP leadership (turtle man will side with the DNC before deporting refugees and illegals), he doesn’t have any important institution. Change will happen eventually, but not until there is more dysfunction, pain, and critically dedollarization. The reserve currency gives our corrupt elites (may they be cleared out) near-infinite spending power and that translates into the ability to wield force. Give it five or ten years. The USG is already having repeated bad bond auctions. I wouldn’t be surprised by a relief rally in bonds for a year or so but I the criminal confiscation of other countries’ foreign reserves under the guise of unilateral sanctions (which violate UN rules anyway) is taking a serious toll on the bond market. The same bond market that underpins the big banks and allows the government to spend like crazy without massive inflation. I just don’t see based on what happened last time and the oligarchs firmly ensconced in power how now is the time or how Trump is the man.

There is a different congress now with more MAGA officials. Trump made some mistakes in hiring the last time nut won't make the same mistake. He has supported the military and will clean ot the woke leadership that Biden put in. Recruitment will rise again. There will be mass deportations. And more importantly the benefits they all receive will be cut. That will save 500 billion a year.

They accused protestors of a coup but I believe they feel entirely justified in extralegal use of power (such as Russiagate) to retain control. The ACA only caused premiums to rise for the group of people between the ages of 55 and 65 in certain middle income brackets, and it was a known problem. It needed to be fixed by Congress, by the Republitards bailed on that and tried to scuttle it completely. MEANWHILE, it provided coverage for 46 million people who had NOTHING prior to it.

And here's the fact you disinformation specialists like to OMIT completely --- most ALL recipients of the ACA are eligible for subsidies to OFFSET premium costs!! Yeah, that's correct, ESPECIALLY lower to middle income folks who made too much for Medicaid and couldn't get insurance from their employers. Most all the folks who BITCHED about premium costs didn't apply for the subsidies through the exchange.

As I've said, the ONLY thing you understand about economics is how much you got back on your taxes for two years, refusing to realize that Trump built in tax hikes for you beginning in 2024, while those for the rich don't expire.
