Why do kids bring guns to school?

Question

They don't usually DO anything with them, they just bring them - and get in a ton of trouble when they are caught. What is the reason for this - attention or?

Times sure have changed. When I went to high school probably a 5th of us had shotguns or rifles in the car. Take them out shooting after, or came from hunting that morning. Let them in the parking lot, plain as day. Never was an issue. Guess that's enough to land you in jail now a days for the no-guns-school-zone-thing. Surely everybody knows that (though I saw a youtube documentary of a guy that allegedly didn't, because he lived under a rock and was made soley of bacteria), but then again it blows my mind how many people have guns in their carry on at airports and then are like "whoops, forgot that was there." I've got dozens of guns. I can tell you where each of them are.

probably hurt feelings or fear

makes them feel like they gain control or have power. Like columbine, that was largely... about guys that couldn't get girls and felt left out. Paybacks... fame... power. There are "demented" people, "hell"... that is the emotional depths... is boundless.

Responsible kids that know pain and disicpline, that they'd get their A$$ beat by their father including the Holly one... I seriously doubt would bring weapon.

can't say I've studied it though or talked to any. I once thought of brining gun in as was tired of being bullied and hurt. So I fell into the first two lines.

Why does one country think that guns should be ubiquitous? I took a few banned objects to school in my time, a bottle of whisky, fireworks, but never a weapon, iirc.
