Why do narcissists physically attack you then lie and tell people you attacked them?

To them it isn't a lie. They believe themselves to be the only thing of importance and so anything that isn't absolute subservience and magical provision is an attack on their belief. And we've normalized a society where we aren't allowed to attack each other for beliefs (unless the belief is "woke").

As, like Israel, the damage and stories told, are often very different from the reality that led up to the event. Usually the revenge will be much worse than whatever led up to it. But rather than confront, people will try side with their biases.
