Opinion on Loss Prevention assaults?

On one end: can’t attack citizens. Other end: retail stores hire you to keep their stock from walking out.

And I’d imagine most violence starts from criminals. But that doesn’t necessarily give Loss Prevention free reign.

Loss Prevention should have more power to restrain

LP has the same restraints and rules of engagement as police during thefts. If the perp uses violence, the officer is able to use force in return. Many shoplifters do turn to violence quickly because most cities are just releasing them back the very same day.

@OddBeMe nobody has the guts to implement it. However Gov DeSantis was having a problem with protesters shutting down bridges. He declared that it would not be a crime to run over a protester is they were closing a bridge. Some of these bridges go out to islands and if an ambulance or some other emergency vehicle was stopped people could die.
As soon as he made the announcement all of a sudden the protesters left.

Your problem: evidence completely goes 180 degrees opposite of your claim.

Countries with lots guns where you can kill criminals just foster’s more crime. Countries that restrict chess to guns don’t. Plain and simple.

there's only a right to detain them in the store, but they have no authority legally to detain them. loss prevention is a stupid job.
