It would be the first insurrection in history where all of the people who attended were unarmed, where the authorities waved them into the government buildings and where not a single person was charged with the crime of insurrection.

The long history of violent attacks against Congress and the Capitol goes back as far as the early 1800s and has mostly been by Democrats and leftists including pro slavery Democrats such as Preston Brooks who in 1856 beat an anti-Slavery Republican to unconsciousness and near death on the floor of the Capitol with a cane, in 1915 a German Harvard professor named Erich Muenter who planted and detonated a dynamite bomb in the Senate, a gang of Puerto Rican Americans who fired guns during a session in the House of Representatives in 1954 and injured 5 Congressmen, the Democrat supported far left "Weather Underground" group who in 1971 detonated a bomb causing mass destruction in in the Capitol building and in 1983 yet another radical left group called the "Armed Resistance Unit" detonated yet another bomb in the Senate.

I'll bet not one in 100 Americans are even aware of any of this history because it is completely suppressed in the news and in the schools.

January 6th was a riot, not an insurrection. But it pales against the hundreds of riots committed over the year previous by the left.

Well lets review the facts.

Hunter has been indicted on 9 charges. He was issued a subpoena to appear before Congress. He does not appear. Joe biden appointed Merrick Garland as Attorney General, Merrick Garand is in charge of the DOJ. The DOJ is in charge of the FBI, IRS and US. Marshalls. Well. will you look at that, Joe and the rest of the Biden crime family are above the law after all.

Right, but one correction that doesn't change the validity of your point. The IRS is a bureau of the Department of Treasury and does not report to the DOJ. But you are right in the sense that it is the DOJ that handles both criminal and civil tax prosecutions and that is the relevant fact here since Hunter is being prosecuted (very very late!) for both felony and misdemeanor tax crimes.

@RingOfFire Yes you are right. When I was taking Tax Accounting in college the prof. got an IRS agent to come and speak to us. We saw a movie too. It showed the IRS coming to a business to arrest some people but they had the US Marshalls do the dirty work.
