So the don property in Florida had a tax exception that the land will not be developed. 18 golf hole course takes up a lot of land but its only worth a golf course. Good business sence there but all your books need to be consistent.

Don got a loan on the same property but they the bank could develop the land into luxury propertys worth 100x on the same golf course. That's the catch 22. You can't have your cake (being tax exempt) and eat it two (getting a lean on your loan like your property is worth more then you are paying in taxes.)

So he's fucked in both directions. Better to fraud a private business then uncle sam on taxes.
