The analogy I heard and liked " If dogs ruled the world , then humans were introduced as subservients , the humans would simply destroy all the dogs " , this is where we are headed , as super intelligence of AI is an understatement.

I think AI will be terrible for the average person. Once upon on time the camera never lied but now with AI generated videos will make it near impossible to decipher truth from fiction and the evil world powers will be able to keep tabs on everyone with AI's help.

I think huge chunks of mankind will willingly submit themselves to a machine under the ruse that it'll be practical and non-biased, when in truth serving puppetmasters. I don't think one will take over on its own.
