Question was inspired by one socio-political youtuber I watch being asked "Are you afraid of the fate of your children in this country?"

His answer was "We do not bring children to this world so they would have it easy and comfortable. That's not the purpose of the human life. We bring children to this world because we believe they would make this world better".

I think children who have had it easy and comfortable turn out to be weak, entitled adults.
Children should definitely have fun, mostly by playing outdoors and interacting with others. They gain experience, take chances, learn lessons, become competent and self sufficient. Their curiosity should be encouraged and nurtured.
They should have chores, learn how to work and care for themselves and others. They should learn about fiscal responsibility.

All this because, when they become adults, they will find that life isn't easy or comfortable. You have to work and struggle to survive.

Worldwide fertility rate is actually slowing down. For example China is expected to lose half of its population by 2100.

Its only high in Africa and some Asia regions, but there it's also slowing down.
