California's new law pays for migrants health care but also includes Gender transition surgery. So all you have to do to get your gender changed... is take a hike and enter into California... and tax payers pay for it. Note that California has billions in deficit... and they are required by law to balance their budget. But yet, gender transition surgery... is provided.

I live in California and it’s more of a mess than you can imagine. This outrages me since I literally have to donate money for my kids to go on field trips but the illegal alien families get a a waiver. I have to pay for my families insurance (which ironically increased in price dramatically over the last 7 years / a nearly 700% increase) yet they offer “free” medical care - to illegals.


My taxes are insane and, because California has tax regulations they have been unsuccessful in overturning, they just add “fees” to everything. Your car registration, cell phone, every utility you pay for, and gas has nearly $1.65 in taxes alone - per gallon!


In this state you can (without exaggeration) get a cell phone, housing, education, healthcare, driver license, food, tuition, some pet care, and so on all free. Meanwhile I (firmly in the upper-middle class) pay for ALL this stuff.


We simply cannot just give everything to everyone who wants it.

Are you and have you been generally republican in thinking, and action, or democrat? I'm curious because I suspect some people want it that way and believe the workers should pay for others. Others... think diff.
It is extreme. As is the case, I'd think CA would want all people to be working, so there are few on public handouts and more money to care for the less fortunate. The problem with it as you noted is it is demotivating to work hard, take risk and put forth effort, to have someone whom is lazy get something, for free.
Why work. That is the problem with socialism.. the underlying motivator.

I think you are saying... if you have a job or $, you pay, but if you don't, it's free. i get that. but it doesn't mean to provide the most expensive of surgeries when we have homeless that are not getting services and americans waiting on a list for surgeries. it makes no sense.

Having free healthcare for literally everyone is not a particularly controversial position around the world. Again, healthcare is seen as a human right.

I do not like the fact that you are trying to drag in homelessness here though. It is very disingenuous and also avoids the fact that you could address it at any point. If your government can afford to imprison everyone in jail then it can also afford to house everyone and feed everyone without them having to earn it by breaking the law.

You just choose to let people live on the streets and children starve. That is the country Americans wants to live in because that is the country you built with your own hands.

@Soteris In case you didn't notice, the cost of having surgery or even going to the doctor for problems has been rising. If you don't have health insurance you are screwed. Yet illegal immigrants, who are unlawfully in this country, qualify for free health care, and now elective surgery? Hell, my insurance doesn't even pay for elective surgeries. Even the American homeless don't get that. As far as the pursuit of happiness, Ben Franklin said, "The U. S Constitution doesn't guarantee Happiness, only the pursuit of it. You have to catch up with it yourself." When these illegal immigrants start paying taxes like the rest of us, then they can get benefits. By the way, the article said they have had to be in the US since 2014 to get this. Seems like the President give amnesty to all illegals every 10 years. So they can wait , just like all the legal immigrants who have to wait for years to get entry and then they don't get these benefits either. Maybe you should move to California and you might toot a different tune.

I dont even know where to start with you. You become upset when USA makes the world just a tiny bit better for humans to live in because you think humans should live in suffering or something.
