What do you think about members of the military? Do you love them? Or would you like to build a life with them?

People in the military come from a cross-section of the nation, so they're going to be as varied as it comes. Even the motivation to join the military varies widely. As such, things like that need to be evaluated on an individual basis.

What IS true is that being the significant other of an active military member can be a rough situation. A service member is very much under the control of the government, and can be recalled, sent away, or relocated at any time with little notice, and kept away for long periods of time, often in dangerous situations, and with limited ability to communicate. Being in a relationship with someone in that situation is rough going, and not everyone is up to the challenge.
