No I don’t. With most people we have a ‘Shadow’, it’s the voice that tells us to do crazy things, however we don’t and we control that Shadow. With the Joker, he fully embraces it and lets it all lose. This is why he is happy to do crazy things including killing any one who is in power, represents order. He is pretty much chaos incarnate. He wants to distrust civil society and bring chaos, he knows everyone has this Shadow inside them and wants to release it, hence his ‘work’ on Harvey Dent and the creation of Two Face, one side being pure Shadow. His beliefs are sort of the opposite to Thomas Hobbes.
