You might want to sit down for this, its bad news... you don't have a sense of humour! 🤣
Why do so many people lack a sense of humour?
You might want to sit down for this, its bad news... you don't have a sense of humour! 🤣
I've noticed that on G@G. You can dangle a joke in front of them and they have no clue. I use funny pics in my questions and they get ignored. Like why do I bother? I may as well just post dick size questions as anything original receives a ho hum, give me the sex questions.
Y u attack me indirectly? I wheel report u as u called me butthurt (my butt is pretty but un no way hurt) and now I'm triggered. 😡😡😡

I don't really know. I work with a bunch as a software engineer in an area that invites a lot of dry types with PhDs. They don't seem to have a passion for fun and adventure so much as solving technical problems.
I think one common denominator is a lack of interest so much in people, and far more in things. A person who lacks interest in people probably sees everything predominantly at face value as they can with things, and take everything so literally without being able to have fun with the ambiguities of human communication.
I work with a bunch of these:

I found so many of them funny as well in my uni! I think it's mainly my specific field of computer graphics research that tends to invite types whose lives revolve around logic and mathematics. I tend to find a whole lot more humor in our designers and in the marketing department.
I think this has a lot to do with it.
in various highly scientific non existent researches it was found those in possession of this item, surrender all ability to access humour and sarcasm.
I asked one of our US Execs why he had an image of an Angry Budgie on his passport.
More so when I changed everything to British English lol.
Ok, I do get a few audible chuckles from some of your posts.
Maybe not the "budgie" š
Well I tend to agree. l, but isnāt it the other way around? I feel most people (at least who I know) do have a sense of humor, and those who donāt are in the minority.
i literally was dumped by a girl I was dating years ago because I was apparently too funny and not serious enough.
she said ā youāre all about the funā and then left me.
I think it started during 9/11 when I created a line of novelty zippo cigarette lighters. They had a design of the WTC towers and when you opened it to light it. The design would light up like the buildings were on fire.
For some reason it never took off. And I got a lot of complaints. Probably more than I sold.
You're right, people have no sense of humor.
Honestly so may people in the world take their own personal shit, way to seriously. They feel that they have a right to compel people, even to the extent of demanding that others respect them. So they become so insular in their beliefs that they becomes so insecure that they see any and everything as threat or insult to their persons.
We usually refer to these people as self centered ass holes. But then we are shamed for being insensitive to others, even though we are just trying to live our life think a little humor goes a long way, when we can step back and do some real self reflection on yourself and laugh about it.
Maybe you are just horrible in making jokes and make it very clear it's not seriously meant. To many people retrackt statements as jokes when they are proven wrong. This also why you shouldn't joke in text. Because it usually lack the signals that tell if the person is serious or is fooling around for fun.
I used to have a sense of humor, but it went missing. I've looked for it everywhere, but I can't seem to find it. Go ahead, take your shots 🎯
I grew up going to the Comedy Store in London a couple of times a month. Nobody cared who said what about who. Everything was meant as humour and everybody laughed.. I want those times back!
I find it funny when I post something that's clearly just a bit of humour and I get dozens who think I'm serious.
@purplepoppy lol yep itās so common lol
Iāve had to explain some of my opinions are sarcasm, itās like being a teacher at Primary school.

I was at work one day and my coworker asked me if I wanted to hear a knock knock joke? I said yeah
Coworker: āknock knockā
Me: āwhoās there?ā
Coworker:
It was funny cause he didnāt say anything but what made it even funnier was me sitting there waiting for him to say something lol
Well they are serious because they just want a straight and normal life. I am also the same. I'm straight forward and serious most of the time. That typical quite person. However I act stupid and come in funny mood sometimes.
humour is subjective. Saying as someone didn't approve of my snu snu reference thought it was gross. To each their own.
I'm conflicted on the matter
@TheSpaceGnome LMAOOO! YESSS, that scene and just episode overall will forever be my favorite one! So many memorable funny moments. Like, when Brennagin was begging for a break and said, āThe spirit is willing, but the flesh is spongy and bruised.ā I nearly died from laughter.š
xD yeah that show is one of my faves, it's a shame they ended it, especially when the last episode opened up the option for a time travel induced reboot.
@TheSpaceGnome Agreed, hope you check out their latest series Disenchanted if not already. Pretty good stuff with an expansive story and characters which is to be expected given the team behind it.
I forgot about that, how many episides are out? every time i find a new cartoon/anime to watch, its always like 10-30 episodes and then i gotta wait forever for a new season :l
i may or may not binge 3 seasons in a night...
@TheSpaceGnome oh you are about to be in for a wild ride. Feel free to dm me if you ever want to yuck it up about it
I mean humor is very subjective. Me and my best friend like literature based humor but my roommate likes more sarcastic humor. We don't really get each other's humors but we know it's different.
Everyone's got their own version of what's funny.
Maybe they donāt lack a sense of humour, maybe they just donāt have the same sense of humour you do.
Looks like many are lying to fit in with your post.
Let me tell you why.
I'm serious by nature but I do enjoy good pranks and honestly trivial things don't make me laugh. It has to be something silly, unbelievable and contrasting. Other jokes make me 'lol' not HAHAHHAHAHAHA.
In the world we live in, sarcasm and exaggeration have become lost in the madness
most people are miserable these days and wanna take it out on others, thats what i have learned. hence lacking a sense of fun and well humour
They seem to feel that taking things seriously wards off bad karma or something. They are afraid, I won't pretend I'm always lighthearted but usually I can see through it. No matter how seriously you take life, you'll never make it out alive.
I have no idea, but it must suck.
