The answer is probably the same as it is for the reason Democrats refuse to agree to laws requiring voters to provide ID. That would make it way to hard for them to commit voter fraud.

Seems to be a misunderstanding here. I am not saying that getting a receipt would make your voting not private. I am talking about a machine that you vote on and the computer automatically generates a receipt. It would be completely private but you could VOLUNTARILY offer it in the event that there was voter fraud to prove you voted and how you voted. No one else would know how you voted unless you wanted them too. This could help reduce voter fraud.
