You will never be able to establish a great Israel. What countries has the world seen? The Roman Empire, the Soviet Union, they collapsed, but Israel will not collapse?

@Claire2002: Israel isn't "my state", but given that the "American money" you refer to is in fact a subsidy to the US defense industry that has to be 100% spent on US defense products, I think they could live without it, especially since it is less than 1% of Israeli GDP (more like 0.6%).

Now your heroes in Hamas- they couldn't live without stealing international aid and all that funding they get from terror masters Iran. Same goes for Hezbollah. Now THAT is parasitism.

Big picture: Palestine. Israel has been really fucked up to them, historically. And currently, the Netenyahu regime sucks.

Recently, with the Hamas attacks a few months ago…. it’s tough to side with that. That’s not “freedom fighting”, that’s barbarism.

Ultimately, there has to be a two-state solution with compromise made by both sides. I don’t know why everyone has to pick a team, we should be rooting for resolution. Fucked up shit is happening on both ends, and we should be better than this as humans. We can’t have two neighboring entities with an immovable position of “fuck the opps, we won’t rest until they’re completely eradicated.”

I understand that your answer stems from a lack of knowledge both according to the Tanach and according to history and according to archeology the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people. In every real estate transaction, the identity of the original owner of the land is basically ascertained in order to avoid a situation of legal doubt on the cost deed. The debate surrounding "Who owns the Land of Israel?" can be resolved in the same way.

Who is the original owner of the disputed territory at the eastern end of the Mediterranean? The answer is not Abraham, Isaac or Jacob. The correct answer is God, the creator of heaven and earth. In the bill of exchange it is written "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1).

Genesis, meaning the dateless past, when God created the heavens and the earth. The Land of Israel is a dry land. At the end of the first verse in the book, there is already complete creation!

Therefore God, as the creator of the earth, is the original owner. As King David - the prophet, poet, warrior and statesman of Israel - wrote on the parchment: "The earth belongs to the Lord and its fullness; He will plant it, and He will dwell in it" (Psalm 24:1).

After 3,500 years the land of Israel belonged to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their seed forever and ever by virtue of a blood covenant recorded in your book. Israel is the only nation by a sovereign act of God (Genesis 12:1-3; 13:16, 95:5, 17:7-8, 22:17-18). It was given to the Jewish people exclusively and forever in Genesis (12:1, 13:4-17, 15:18-21).

The promised land includes modern Israel as well as parts of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and today's Iraq (Genesis 15:18-21.

The land that God promised includes modern Israel and also parts of today's Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq (Genesis 15:18-21).
The notion that the Palestinians had ownership of the Land of Israel at certain times, a land promised by God to Abraham and the Jewish people forever, is one of the greatest lies in history. The claim that the Arabs are related to Abraham through Ishmael is a fact. Their claim about the Land of Israel through Ishmael is one of the biggest lies in history.
The Bible clearly records that when Abraham asked God to allow Ishmael to receive ownership of the land, God sent him a reply by express mail from heaven with one word written in it: "No!" (17:17-18

@Claire2002 Happily, the facts you state are a complete lie that is not based on facts at all. Self-defense of a sovereign state when an entire regime is working at any given moment to eliminate it is not ethnic cleansing. Hamas has no value for human life, not even that of its own people. In addition, no army in the world, including that of the United States, behaves more morally than the Israeli army. Certainly not the armies of the Arab countries. I would like you to bring facts and not throw slogans.

@Claire2002 I would like you to answer 4 questions that will prove to me that there is a Land of Israel for Jews or Palestinians: 1. Since when has the Palestinian people existed as a nation? From what year? And when did the Jews exist as a nation? 2. Who has not been in the Land of Israel for more years and who has not been in the Land of Israel before? 3. Who has religious and historical documents about their connection to Israel? 4. Which country in the world has a majority of Palestinians?

@Claire2002 You don't answer questions for a very obvious reason. There is nothing that supports the attachment of the Palestinian people to the Land of Israel. 1. The Jewish people were created thousands of years ago, while the Palestinian people were created approximately a hundred years ago. 2. The Jewish people lived in the Land of Israel thousands of years before the Palestinian people even existed. 3. All the historical and religious writings that include the Bible and also the Koran that talk about the connection of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel. 4. The country where the majority of the people there are Palestinians is Jordan. And they are invited to establish a state there. The fact that you're constantly throwing slogans without facts doesn't catch on anywhere. Neither in the business world nor in the legal world. The bottom line is that the Land of Israel never belonged to the Palestinian people in any way, even when nations and empires expelled the Jews from their land.

@Claire2002 Your last comment already reeks of anti-Semitism. As a matter of fact, the Palestinians did not exist as a nation, it's not that something controlled them a century ago. They were tribes or mixed with other Arab nations. For your information, the Jewish people existed long before the United States was founded (thousands of years).

The answer is so obvious to those who know the facts and figures. The Palestinians in Gaza chose the terrorist organization Hamas and support it throughout the years. In their schools and kindergartens they teach and educate how to kill Israelis. They educate their children to die just to kill Israelis. Even in the events of October 7, the citizens supposedly celebrated the killing, rape and destruction carried out by their administration, Hamas, and distributed candy. Some of them were even complicit in the killing and the rape and the abuse of the bodies. They also hid the terrorists who returned with abductees and according to the handles of the abductees they also abused them there. In the houses of the so-called citizens there are weapons, bombs and missiles in the children's rooms. So supporting the Palestinians is really supporting a murderous terrorist organization. So the answer is clear who are the good guys and who are the bad guys in this story. Unequivocal support for ISREAL..

The best thing for both is the annihilation of Hamas. They've had every opportunity to exist with a two-state solution for over a decade with full support from Israel and western benefactors (which is another can of worms in itself), but the Palestinian terrorist warlords would rather indoctrinate kindergartners to aspire for martyrdom. There's a reason why not even the other Islamic countries want the Palestinians either, and it far supercedes the emotional sentiments of western college brats who don't have a clue.

I support Israel. Hamas is a terrorist organization and the Palestine people elected hamas as their government because they believe in the BS that Hamas pushes.
The German people (not all of them) elected Hitler. We bombed Germany with everything we had to defeat Hitler's evil regime.
If we worried about collateral damage back then, we all would be speaking German now and raising our hand to the nazi flag.
    War sucks for everyone involved...
None of you Palestine supporters were crying about Ukrainian women and children when Russia attacked Ukraine.
So I believe it's not that you support Palestine as much as you are all just antisemitic.
So to use your own words against you... You are all racists!!
Yes I am passionate about this subject... Hamas can go fuck themselves! And Hamas supporters can do the same.

Israel.. While I understand the plight of the Palestinians, they put themselves in the situation by siding with Hamas.. Hamas is not a freedom fighter group, it's a terrorist group. A few times has Israel agreed to a peace agreement, and even offered up some of their land, but like children Hamas refused

They don't want peace with the Jews, they don't just want land back, they want the destruction of the Jews, not just in Israel but worldwide.. They want the Muslims to have world wide dominance.. They are extremist to the core.. And the Palestinians support them through and through.. That's why it's not easy to discern between Hamas and the citizens.. If even Egypt (a country that also hates Israel) put up walls against Palestine, because of Hamas, that should tell you a lot of what you need to know about them.

Palestine. Israel is the top recipient of U. S. foreign aid annually, and uses it to manufacture top weaponry to keep the Palestinians "in their place." They act like the know it all bully of the Middle East. Just like the USA does... only until Russia and China TELL THEM how it's gonna be.😆😆😆 Bully mentality. Ironically, I know an Istlraeli female in her 60's in Texas who one day (because my parents both emigrated here) said to me, and I'll quote her, "Young man, I do not agree with what my people have done to the Palestinians." Wow. That was surprising to hear.

They keep their army and defenses in good shape because they are always being attacked by some dumb asses, like Syria and Egypt - 2 much larger forces against a much smaller force. Yet Israel keeps kicking their butts. These attackers will never learn. And I think Ukraine is getting more money and arms than Israel.

    Palestine all the way.

They have to suffer what the occupying state of Israel does to them every day. But they clap back once, and its as if it's the Palestinians who are the illegal immigrants, instead of the Israeli's!

Too many people seem to think the issue started with a few months ago. when in fact Hamas and Fatah warned them for months before to stop killing and jailing Palestinian kids and women without legal recourse -else there will be consequences.

Why on earth would I support the Zionists that have killed over 12,000 children? For 4 months now they've been bombing indiscriminately innocent people, doctors, children, babies, women, elder people, hospitals, ambulances, religious sites, killing more than 30,000 people. There's no excuse for that.. This is a genocide

There’s no reason the Jews can’t go back to Germany and Eastern Europe now. Just saying.

They needed somewhere after World War 2 and they got it. The Palestinians have never been happy about it and the Israeli Jews have encroached further into Palestinian territory beyond the territory they were afforded by the British and French. So Israel has brought this upon themselves.

    That is my position.

Unsurprisingly, you don't know that a majority of Jewish Israelis are descended from Jews who lived in Arab Middle Eastern countries and Iran. Others are from Africa, especially Ethiopia.

Jews had always lived in what's now Israel and it was the Ottoman Turks who let them immigrate legally and buy land starting in the 19th century.

And Jews can't automatically return to where their ancestors came from, even if it's Europe.

You just don't know the history. The Jews have the greatest power in history over Israel. More than the USA, UK or any other Arab country. Both from a historical, religious or archaeological point of view. Possession of the country you know today.

@Claire2002: A lot of time has passed since the 7th century, and we see the use of takiyya all the time by Islamic supremacists like you. Al-Qaida are your friends, Miss Nazi Hamas- they hate Jews as much as you do.

But there is even evidence in the Quran and Hadith that you're lying, i. e., you are using takiyya right now. For example:

Sahih Bukhari (52:269): "The Prophet said that war is deceit"
Sahih Bukhari (84:64-65) - Speaking from a position of power at the time, Ali confirms that lying is permitted in order to deceive an "enemy." The Quran defines the 'enemy' as "disbelievers" (4:101).
Sahih Bukhari (49:857) - "He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar." In other words, lying is permissible when the end justifies the means.

Those are just a few examples.

@Avicenna A lot of the Israelis are actually rich Jews from America, U. K and other places now who moved there because of their religious delusion and they aren’t descended from Jews who were refugees after World War 2. The population of Jewish Americans is. More than the entire population of Israel.

So unsurprisingly as you say, you don’t seem to know that over the last 100 years, the total population of Jews in the Arab world was a maximum of about 800,000. That is less than 1,000,000 people. Impossible for them to be the majority of the population of Israel even if they all moved there.

I stand by what I said. Israel has encroached further into Palestine than the territory they were given in 1947 by the British and French. The whole thing is their fault. They used the American tanks left behind after World War 2 to exploit the weaker Palestinians from day 1 and they have never stopped.

An ancestral claim from 1000 years ago is bullcrap. The land is not holy, there is no such thing.

I suggest you study history: the Jews have been in Israel since ancient times and then the establishment of the State of Israel. There were times when most of the Jews were in exile because other peoples exiled them, but there were always Jews in Israel and also for long periods the Jews ruled the Land of Israel. The Palestinian people in general was created about a hundred years ago as a union of Arab tribes that lived here during the time of the British. They don't have and had nothing to do with the Land of Israel and they didn't even exist more than a century ago.

Anti-semites always misrepresent when they aren't outright lying. The population of Israel, including the population of Mizrahi Jews, has increased significantly since 1948. It's not hard to understand.

What happened on Day 1 is that Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon attacked Israel. Funny how you don't mention that.

The UN, not the British and French, drew the original lines in 1947. The Palestinians rejected having their own state because there would be a Jewish one. They have lost territory in war, which is why the (wholly indefensible) 1947 lines drawn by the UN are no longer the actual boundaries. That isn"t "encroachment", except to anti-Semites.

The land is holy to Jews, regardless of what anti-Semites like you say.

@Jhonrembo36 Look. There is something you don’t understand here. Being of a particular religion is not a valid claim to a piece of land nor is having ancestors from hundreds of years ago who lived there. If I went searching through historical archives and found a farm in some far flung country which happened to be owned by my 8 times great grandmother, I can’t just show up and claim it is mine because my ancestors owned it. They don’t own it now. The world has moved on. Times change. This is reality.

It is simple: Israel was provided in 1947 by the French and British to the Jewish diaspora who were displaced during World War 2. Once there, the Israelis took it upon themselves to break the border which was drawn for them and essentially invade Palestinian territory. The repercussions were brought upon the Israelis through their own actions. This is the root of the conflict.

In the present time, since a few generations have now lived there and international law recognises the nation, it is reasonable to seek a 2 state solution on the condition that Israel return to within the originally drawn border in 1947.

No, what I posted is accurate- what you posted isn't accurate in the least. And I didn't even address all of your lies and misrepresentations. Note that Israeli Arabs have had Israeli citizenship from the start of the State of Israel. Also note that Gaza and the West Bank didn't come under Israeli rule until 1967- they were part of Egypt (Gaza) and Jordan (West Bank). So why didn't those countries take in the Arabs living there like Israel took in Jews from everywhere?

Claiming that Israel brought Arab attacks on it just by existing is a complete lie. The Arabs wanted to wipe out Jews in Israel. Yet you feel sorry for them because their attempted genocide, just a few years after the Holocaust, failed.

The 1947 borders are completely indefensible and demanding that Israel return to it after repeated terror attacks is ridiculous. No matter how many times you claim that the British and French gave Israel to Jews, it's still a misrepresentation- the UN set those borders.

      en.wikipedia.org/.../...lan_For_Palestine_1947.svg

Jews have lived continuously in the area of what is now the State of Israel for over 2000 years. Their connection to the land is clear. The people called Palestinians are actually Egyptians and Jordanians.

Jews who were originally from Arab countries and survived pogroms there prior to their move to Israel had their property confiscated by the Arabs without compensation.

@Avicenna The British created a national home for the Jewish people in current day Israel in 1917 under the Balfour Declaration. The French originally disagreed but eventually accepted it.

In 1947 the UN agreed to an unambiguous border for”Israel” and it is not indefensible at all! That is what the border was decided to be and that is what it should be. If it wasn’t for the American tanks left behind after World War 2, the Jews couldn’t have invaded the wider region of Palestine

@Avicenna It is an absolute disgrace that you have resorted to an ad hominem attack by accusing me of lies and misrepresentations. You are clearly biased towards Israel and are not displaying the capacity to look at the situation objectively.

Israel brought this upon themselves and it is simply ridiculous to claim Jews continuously lived there for more than 2000 years. Benjamin Netanyahu himself accepts that the Jews were driven out for hundreds of years and he justifies the return by stating that the Arabs did nothing with the territory which is also false. They had farms and lives. Perhaps a small minority of Jews remained but that in no way equates to ownership of the land.

The attitude you have is of unrealistic and frankly selfish expectation and unless you and the rest of the Israeli people are able to accept responsibility for this situation as a result of immoral invasions over the last 70 or so years, this conflict will never be resolved.

While Palestine wasn’t really recognised as a country until 1988, it was an Arab territory being controlled by various Arab states over the years including Jordan and Egypt. That does not mean there are no Palestinians. Those living in the region have been referred to as Palestinians since as early as the 12th century and now they are actually Palestinians by citizenship and not Jordanians and Egyptians. Just like there was never an “Israel” before 1947. So by your own logic, the people of Israel are actually Palestinians. Of course that logic is flawed and we don’t call them that.

A 2 state solution where Israel stays inside its allocated border is the way forward.

      That is my position.

Neither one, normally I am very interested in politics but this particular issue I don't like. Both have reasonable grievances that go so far back I have to put way to much research into a subject I do not care about. What happens there doesn't effect me and doesn't have clear solutions, so its not really a concern of mine. I prefer to spend thinking about political issues on a national and more global scale.

This is on a global scale. The attempt to destroy Israel by many nations, and with an army of 200 million, will bring on the last conflict man will ever have. I'm guessing that nukes will rain down and the only reason there will be no life left on Earth is because God steps in and destroys the armies attacking Israel. John couldn't have made all this stuff up over 2,000 years ago.

@DubiousIntentions I mean policy wise, what they do there doesn't effect the life in my own country. While stuff like what the UN is doing, and what my own government is doing I am far more worried about. So that is where I spend my own time researching, I don't see how spending a lot of time researching a very complicated conflict I can't influence benefits me.
The political party I support did try to research it and came to the same conclusion, the more they research it the more muddy it becomes and with no obvious solution in sight the ideal solution is that my country just backs off. We are small country and we have our own problems.

If you look at the history Palestine has instigated nearly every conflict with israel. So anyone who actually understands the history knows that Palestine is the problem not the victim

For those who don't wish to look up the history. Israel started the 6 day war. Palestine started everything by invading Israel. Of all the military conflicts involving Israel and Palestine. Israel has only been the aggressor 2 maybe 3 times while Palestine and surrounding countries have 10+ moments where they invaded. They continue to complain that Israel is the problem even when they instigate. Why? Because Israel has mopped the damn floor with 3 different countries militaries at once and continue to mop the floor with anyone who attacks them. It helps that despite its size Israel has the 4th most powerful military on earth thanks of course to the US in the amount of $3b+/year. In fact Israel is the only country in the middle east where you can be LGBT without getting your head cut off. They are the only country in the middle east that gives fair trials for crimes committed by foreigners. They are the only country in the middle east were you can say whatever you want and not be strung up, have your tongue cut out, get shot in the head, be locked up forever, etc. No mentally stable person would look at the history of those countries and look at the way each treats people and go "yeah I support Palestine" I mean hell if you want to support them so bad go join the Palestine armed forces you'll realize how much of a mistake you made

Please pray for the children of Palestine. Tonight many of these innocent babies are going to sleep hungry and thirsty, sleeping in the freezing cold, terrified of the explosions they can hear coming out of the darkness 🙏

Israel. Palestine wants to kill all the Jews from sea to shining sea so now israel is going to do the same thing to hamas and when it’s all over the Palestinians will be celebrating their freedom.

Do you support Palestine or Israel?

Israel is a rogue state that is a liability and the Palestinians are in the pocket of the Muslim brotherhood. Hopefully the Syrians take it all one day.

But I will say that the real villain is definitely hamas. Sure i don’t believe that it’s right for the Palestine to be in an open air prison. But it wasn’t just Israel that put them there. Egypt also has a huge part to play. But the whole reason why Isreal and Egypt are keeping those people in there is because of the fear of hamas which may not be justifiable but understandable.
And as for who should own the land it should be isreal. It was there land in the first place. For anyone calling them colonizers is reTarted if anything it would be the other way around. Isreal was there first until they got taken over and kicked out by the Palestinians. So technically the Palestinians would be the colonizers. Sure the Palestine’s were there for centuries but only because they raped and murdered the Israelites and drove them away.
