Ever put yourself in the littler girls shoes? Can you imagine the life and journey?
What do you think? How should they be treated?

hi, im in the uk and live on the south coast, every day there are inflatable dingy coming over from france loaded to extreme with mostly males, some women, some children... the lucky ones who dont drown, hit the beach and then are arrested and taken to a holding center to be processed. Our government decides if they have legitimate rights for asylum or not, they come with no id? so we have a backlog of 175000 people... we have a current issue where the fucking tories who have turned the uk into an utter shit show, stolen all the tax payers money and either fucked it up the wall or allowed their mates to get contracts from them and then they do not deliver the goods... are trying to send these people, termed illegal immigrants to Nigeria but the E. U court stopped them recently... my mother is an A typical uk resident boomer gen so ;she's like well you pay tax you pay for them blah blah, my response is always this.. mum if i had to take my two children when they were young get on a dingy go across an ocean hoping to make it and who knows end up living where, you HAVE to place yourself as to why? its like my street where we live perfectly hap-pily starts to be bombed, destroyed i flee to the coast, pay every penny i have to get on that boat, praying we won't die on the way... i say Do you think they do this for fun? going back to our corrupt government, 175000 people either living in centers, like old prisons, even a fricking jail boat now... hotels up the road there are several being housed in a luxury hotel then standing in the food bank que everyday... i will say this though, it is 99% men so if it is so entirely awful, scary, dangerous, no structured safe society at their home, then where are your women and children?
one wonders if the women are dying or just left at home as the men go out to find $. I am confused though as what I heard of France, it's very easy to get $ from the govt to survive without working. A matter of paper work.
well im not sure to be honest, i do know in france there are many people living in tents in woods waiting for boats... im not sure how much help they get in france but here they will be housed, fed etc whether it be a block accomodation or hotel etc... locally we had a recent influx into a hotel and within a couple of weeks there were two incidents where young girls were approached, followed and frightened... now this can be a cultural issue i understand, however, when the majority turn up without any i. d how can anyone be sure of who they are, check any history about them etc... as for the women, where are they... there was a boat not long ago where quite a number of people drowned, when traced back to a village, this was in the middle of nowhere, no work, no future etc, the whole village saved up to pay for the young men to attain illegal transportation to the u. k. they never made it... personally i will not judge... who knows it could be me one day. we never know the future...
good perspective! obviously, they are desperate. I don't understand why such places cannot thrive. Either lacks security or investment. That's solvable... we (matur
e countries) will buy them up, make them another region/state, and start construction to expand economy. if don't want that... ok fine, stay there.
Yes, both of my parents were immigrants. My dad came to USA with a backpack and dreams, will never forget he had to sleep on a park bench for months while working to send money to my siblings and mom in Mexico. There’s needs to be changes to the process and what happens when you get deported, so much sex trafficking and child abuse is going on daily and it’s heart breaking.
Thanks for sharing and that you have real world experience. many of us don't.
did you see this first hand? I hear of such trafficking, but we don't know what is going on.
it is sad to see, awful. must be a better way.
Yes I have seen some crazy stuff but I don’t want to talk about it.
Understand. I hope you are all in a better place now. My family was immigrants decades past and my wifes family came here with nothing and did very well. It works well for many. Be better if we could bring the security and prosperity everywhere.
No I cannot, it is also a global problem and needs dealing with. With conscription being discussed by NATO, let’s see how many try to get back across the Channel and back home once European countries start using illegals in conscription. Also a huge number coming here has a massive sense of entitlement, housed on ex military bases that housed UK forces for years, they riot and complain about lack of 5 star treatment. If you go to a country with a very high unemployment rate, fails to house its own homeless, then expectations should be realistic and the government should treat them at the same level as our own homeless, join the queue for housing, if not here's a tent.
No, I haven't ever imagined just breaking into some other country.
When does it stop? How many are supposed to come in and us just take them all? We are in the millions and it is never enough. More, more, more. Keep them coming.
No sovereignty for the U. S. citizens, anyone and everyone from Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Columbia, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, El Salvador, Nicaragua... and every other country south of us can just move in anytime they want. U. S. taxpayers have to shelter them and transport them and feed them and care for them.
Put up a barrier and reject them and make them live in their own homeland.

No, they're assholes. I've seen plenty of people go through the whole legal process just to get deported several times before getting their citizenship and all this bullshit happening right now spits in their faces. What's the point of legal process if they're rewarded for breaking the law?
your point is valid.
Somewhat. I wasn't an *illegal* migrant back in my younger years but i sure felt like fleeing for my life from where my parents dragged me into.
I fled for my life. I kept and brought my EU citizenship and passport for my destination. Once i arrived i had my lacking documents being reissued to me such as my personal id, social security number, tax id and medical vaccination record book. I can't get my birth certificate as i can only obtain it from my place of birth. Could i simply have asked my parents for my documents? FUCK NO!
Whenever the United States and maybe other nations (?) are giving taxpayer money to help these countries that these people are migrating from. Let them stay and fix their own country instead. But our leaders ( using that word loosely). Want to still send money and still take the young men that are coming into the country without following the rules. Absolutely NOT! If they were that grateful, they would follow the rules!
Most are coming to this “Promised Land” for all of the benefits that the working taxpayers are paying for, but are not entitled to themselves.
A country can only handle so much free handouts without destroying itself!
Yes. My parents emigrated to Germany as I was 2 yo. old.
welcome to USA! not often one hears of german immigrants these days... decades past, were many.
“Here’s a heart wrenching video that will make you give up on stuff like territorial integrity, vetting, and being sensible!” Man, there’s literally several billion people in poverty around the globe.
That's all true. But that's a deflection from the question...
I voted.
I've crossed most of my borders legally. The ones I didn't, I was prepared to face the consequences, all of which were far worse than they'd be in the U. S.
No. I can't imagine sneaking into another country and not expecting to wind up in prison before being deported. People who do that deserve what they get.
nope, even if Biden wins I will not leave America. I will stay and be part of the resistance.
The border crisis is a bad thing for everyone involved.
Americans and migrants
There needs to be a bi-partisan solution to it otherwise we’re going to get finger pointing 🫵 and nothing else.
No, I can't because they haven't listened to what President Biden said.
Returned to Mexico.
The journey is a long and boring bus ride.
I wouldn't want to be
