How do you feel about people on welfare? Do you think some who could work use the system?

I'd rather have a few people who could actually work (most of them struggle to work full time in my experience) take advantage of the system than deny people who need it to live the chance of getting back on their feet. Where I live welfare doesn't cover much more than basic necessities so if someone is living off of that I assume they're either struggling or compensating with some under the table work which is usually done part time.

I've known a few incredible people on welfare and they were put in harsh situations due to unfortunate life circumstances and I was glad that my taxes helped them when they needed it most.

I toured a large facility/factory where mentally handicapped people worked. One job was to fill sacks with beads. They loved it and it made them feel good to have a job.
