Why doesn't Biden just pull an LBJ and drop out?

Seriously, The Democratic Party whether you agree with them or not needs a better candidaate. I think he should just do like LBJ in 68 and we just start with a new clean slate.

I believe he might be worried about being criminally charged by corrupt judges if he does not retain his position as president. That is my theory because if he wanted the democrats to win, bowing out would increase the chances of a democratic win, because people would be voting for the democrats for the good presidential qualities of the contender and not for the main reason they are the only real competition to Trump. I think Trump has so many enemies that a serial killer could have won if he had run against trump in the last election. They did not care about Biden, they cared about removing Trump.

I remember when Johnson decided not to run. I asked my mother why he didn't run. She just said it was because he thought people didn't like him. Kennedy was a hard act to follow. Kennedy was charismatic and Johnson was pretty drab. They were night and day.

More recently, Ford didn't run. I'm not even sure of the reason, but I suspect he really didn't want the job. He was not your typical highly ambitious politician.

Ford ran against Carter and lost. It was in 1976.

LBJ was a sick crook. I think he figured that everyone would eventually find out about that and oust him, anyway. He and the next two assholes were involved in the murder of Kennedy. Ford was almost as worthless as Kamel Hairs is, today!

Ford didn't run in the sense that Ford was the only man never elected to the Presidency (or Vice-Presidency).
Ford was elected by Congress to replace Nixon's first VP, Spiro Agnew. Agnew resigned in disgrace, so we needed a new VP. Under the relatively new 25th Amendment, Ford was nominated by Nixon and approved by Congress to become VP. So, Ford was not elected by a public vote to be VP. Then, after Nixon resigned, Ford became President.

President Biden is actually a rather good president. His main problem is that he's a nice guy and not the most charismatic.

Trump, by comparison, is a legend in his own mind and loves to boast about himself. So much so that the lies eventually are converted into truths in the minds of the mentally feeble.

First, because he's so out of touch with the day-to-day experiences of average Americans that he probably doesn't understand why people would object to his administration (unless they're die-hard Republicans who knee-jerk oppose everything a Democrat does).

Secondly, he's still at nine of ten for violating the Bill of Rights, and REALLY wants to finish the set.

No, let him run. His approvals are the worst in a hundred years and they will get worse as inflation comes back and he is in the middle of an impeachment hearing. Besides, democrats rwmeally do not have anyone better. Pretty sad considering although if I was a Democrat I would vote for Dean Phillips over et Bidan
