People drive pick up trucks because they need them for work or live in a rural area. A used old pick up truck is pretty inexpensive, good in the snow or off road. Can carry a lot of stuff, like going to the beach is pretty easy, you can carry a bbq, coolers, deck chairs, jet ski, surf boards or sleep out under the stars. Surely you've parked up with a girl and lay out on a warm night.

People carry guns because of the crime. Coming from somewhere growing up that had a lot of crime and strict gun laws I can say where I an now I'm glad I can carry if I choose even though i generally don't.

I don't think there's anything wrong with being masculine. Women desire masculine men. I think there's left wing campaign to shame and discourage men from being men.

Handling your buisness makes you masculine. Sometimes handling your buisness requires a pick up truck or/and a gun. Does driving a Tesla or Prius make you intelligent or does it make you more likely to enjoy smelling your own farts?
I guarantee the girlfriend of the same guy wants him to punch another guy for looking at her, that's why she's with him. I dated a crazy girl once and kept getting into fights with other guys. Turns out she was leading them on by flirting or starting an incident to get a fight started. Then we'd have hot sex on the way home. Took me a while to realise what she was doing.
Thing about being a fake tough guy is that you get easily exposed. Most real tough guys try to avoid the fight, like you will rarely see two tough guys fighting each other outside of combat sports.

2 months ago I had a minor traffic confusion and the guy said something through his window while looking at me and I gave him the middle finger in return.

Often people that have lots of guns live in places where guns are useful tools just like shovels or skid steers... It's not something someone like you could even understand. They bust ass 14 hours a day 6-7 fays a week in 120 F heat in the middle of the desert working on pipeline jobs, working on oil rigs in pure darkness in the middle of the raging ocean, they do construction, they welding heavy mettle, they work on farms, they lumberjack, they work in mines, they drive heavy load from one place to another to keep civilization running. Many times these jobs are off the beaten path. You can't ride public transportation from your apartment in the city to work next to the starbucks in your soft kitty cat job. You have to go in the middle of fucking nowhere to work were there are dirt roads or possibly no roads at all. Having a 4x4 pickup helps get you there when the roads are ruff or washed out by rains and whatnot. Pickup trucks allow your to carry tools and supplies to locations. They allow you to tow trailers with heavy equipment on them. It's what they do.
