As someone who was born in a Muslim country, whose parents moved to America when I was three, I honestly don't get it. Are they truly that stupid?

I mean in Palestine there are not a lot of women's rights. Compared to some Muslim countries it's quite backwards with respect to acknowledging women as more than chattel.

And bluntly if these loud-mouthed feminists went to Palestine... they'd be at best tossed in jail. Dressing cheaply with so much skin exposed as they do, they'd be very lucky not to be assaulted, raped and even murdered if they went to some of the smaller Palestine villages.

And the same goes for gays, trans, etc. They have little to almost no rights. In fact they probably have less rights than a dog in some areas of Palestine.

In fact it is considered one hell of a taboo in Islam to be gay or trans or multisexual or whatever else concoted ideas can be found in western society / America. And unlike western society the general public in Islamic countries has absolutely no problems letting it be known that such behavior is undesirable, is taboo, etc. And the police won't help you, off duty some might even lead the witchunt to your doorstep & help drag you out to the desert.

So why are they so pro Palestine?

Particularly when one considers in Israel they would have more rights, more freedoms, and bluntly put less threat to their lives.

And yes I am questioning it as someone from a Muslim country. I look at reality & that Palestine could spend more time better itself than fighting a country that existed only because British / Americans stole the land, not the Jews, and the people responsible are long dead. I am not pro or against Palestine nor pro or against Israel. I look at reality.

Because they aren't thinking it through. It's not about who truly deserves support; it's about what the conservatives- actually, the Republicans (even in countries outside the US) oppose.

Modern Western liberalism has fallen into a Marxist mindset that separates all of humanity into classes of "oppressor" and "victim", and then says that being part of a "victim" class means automatically deserving support. It's also a perpetual and inherent thing, which is why women, who have far more rights in the US than men do, are still seen as "victims". Naturally, this means that people are not only "seen more as" but outright "defined by" their demographic characteristics, which is the exact opposite of liberalism, but "the evil conservatives are against it, so it MUST be good!". It's not about what they'll stand for, but what they'll far for.

It's also not internally consistent. Last I checked (which was, admittedly, several years ago), Israel didn't allow gay marriages, but DID acknowledge gay marriages performed elsewhere. That's kind of stupid; it does nothing but promote the destination wedding industry (although I suppose it helps placate the more religiously conservative parts of the population). Meanwhile, the big step forward in gay rights in Palestine was making (male) homosexual activity only have a ten-year prison sentence for the first offense; they don't kill you out of hand any more. It takes TWO offenses for that! Killing people because of inborn characteristics would be considered evil by pretty much any reasonable person, but their country is being abused by Israel, so they're a victim class, and thus inherently good.

The two easiest groups of people to control are those who are angry, and those who are afraid. Anger makes you want to act; fear makes you want to hide. Remember those two sentences, and 95% of politics will become perfectly clear.
