Is it better to be poor and broke through age 18 in USA?

If you are poor, good chance of getting through college with grants, free money. If there is debt, cases occur where it doesn't have to be paid back.

Compare to people I know that work hard, save, college savings plans... and they don't get aide.

So why work? Be poor, spend your money enjoy life, party. It's good to be poor, let the govt pay.

New immigrants that show up with nothing, are poor... will get a free ride scholarship. yeah!

"You will have nothing and be happy". Just like Klaus Shit says while he's laughingly working to get his buddies to own all the fertile land on the planet and control the water and power supply.

Rockefeller stated when he literally bought the education system in the USA that he wanted a nation of workers not thinkers. Just for a moment consider what it means to have a "no child left behind" education policy. It means you are forced to dumb-down the education system and remove critical thoughts of any kind by encouraging something that isn't thinking, just spouting rhetoric written by the State and calling it "critical theory" when it's just propaganda.

Broke is one thing. It's not always possible to avoid having government change the rules so you lose income.

Poor is a mindset. I've met people with a seven figure income who have a poverty mindset. I've met people who started out with nothing who from the outset had the mindset that there's always going to be enough and we just have to find it who now make money very easily.

If you want to be dependent on government your whole life be my guest. Just don't expect me to join you.

It still sucks being poor even if you qualify for those things you’re living at poverty level the whole time, I grew up poor and never went to college but did eventually get out of it. But there is no incentive for people to work for it in some situations but they still need their grades at a certain level or they lose the grants and get kicked out of school so the programs are good for people that really want to get out of that way of life

I'm 16 and have been in poverty all my life. What you do not understand is that there are no parties, because im busting my ass of trying to make something of myself. I'm a very underpaid janitor that makes minimum wage. My mother works 2 jobs, so does my sister. My dad left us and emptied my moms joint account. Yeah we may get college benefits, but the road up to that is no party.

That's fair and good insight. So much is based upon parents staying together and working together. There's a lot we take for granted when "successful".. e. g. work, save, stay out of debt, invest, and are lucky.
I've met poor people but haven't been one myself. My wife's family was poor, but they stayed together and thus, were strong. All kids worked from poverty and are now very well off. my wife did work around 5yrs and worked 13+ every year.
I'm sorry to hear of the difficulty, especially on your mom. Why would a father leave his kids like that and take the resources... terrible. You can succeed and do very well, certainly in USA... not sure other countries. I see you are from France... I'm not sure how that works in France from what I've heard, unless get govt job. We have friends in France, it's diff system.
In France I know you can go to school long time, all paid by govt.
You are not a janitor... you are an ambassador for whomever you work for. The front line! Think of your higher level role.

oh but they do. but they are always chaising there tails. example, I know poor people that smoke and drink but are not setting aside that $ for their children. I'm not saying everyone is in the same boat. Problems lead to more problems.
