Is it normal to be completely broke and poor at 18?

I know for a lot of 18 year olds it's normal to be completely broke and unemployed at 18. I barely have anything and it's extremely depressing. I thought at 18 you'd at least have something like a job or doing something but I'm just completely broke and dependent on my parents. The only income I'm making is though mystery shopping and god it's just sucks not having any money...

At 18? being broke isn`t the end of the world, just because you`re stil young and can always pick up. You`ll be able to pick up things faster compared to someone that`s 30+

So just keep looking for a job, even if it`s retail, depending on how far you are schooled.

It's really normal a phase that going through your life. Not even necessary to be at 18 y/o, but it can happen at any age. I'm still broke sometimes (and right now too lol) but nothing much to worry about. :)

Come on you just got out of high school and you had your parents support you in almost every sense for the last 18 years, you can't just milk up thousands of dollars at that point lol

then maybe, otherwise in your case, maybe seek help and see what you can do to make your situation changed for the better

i didn't have my first job until i was your age or even a little older. im 29, and im broke..

im broke because of problems im having but, yeah, it's perfectly normal to be 18, and be broke.. good luck finding a job though

l started out with nothing and worked my way up to where l am now l have all and more than l need so get a job
