Do you think that some but not all people involved in Professional Sports have higher than average violent tendencies?

They are just born that way.

Having to be so competitive makes them that way?

Supplements taken to enhance performance cause them to be more violent.

They were bullies in school and continue to be bullies.

well of course... and this is very well known too

the more and the higher the impact is involved in the sport... the more dumbass people it is going to attract into that sport, lol

anywhere from the regular impulsive/hyper/lack of control/immature random guy that can play good enough... from the truly psycho/dangerous/ violent dudes out there if they can play good enough

but these are a minority... and they are in few sports, not all of them

No, equestrian sports, Triathletes, field hockey, curling, archery, nearly every Olympic sport no. Now those that make stupid amounts of cash, some likely do stupid shit but very few are overly violent,
