Why does money make people happy?

I enjoy high-quality and nutritious meals, drive exceptional cars, and reside in a comfortable home. I have convenient access to amenities like pools and gyms at home. Additionally, I have the financial freedom to retire early and support the people I care about.

The real question is... How does money NOT make you happy? I haven't seen a proper answer to this one yet. The idea that money doesn't make you happy is just propagated nonsense.

They can afford to pay for energy bills, don’t have to go to food banks, can buy their children presents at Christmas and Birthdays. Things like not having to decide between heating the house or feeding the family. If people do not think it brings happiness, then it proves they have never faced or have been poor. It does bring happiness when it allows you to feed your family ffs.

Being poor really takes a toll on people. Having to work hard all the time and never having enough money to buy the things for basic survival. Being rich does not necessarily make you happy but being poor sucks.

Money doesn't really make you happy. The security you get from being able to afford the things you need/want. Allows you to relax that relaxation makes it easier for you to be happy. But the money itself doesn't make you happy.

Because you can travel, try good food, and visit spas when you have it.

I get very happy when I make/save money because I think of the things I want to do with it.
