Why do people equate money with happiness?

People kill each other over money. people disown their children and grandchildren over money ( I know that from my life situation). Taxes out the ass, people always using you for it, turning into a godless a hole just to impress people who pretend to be your friend so you can get into a club because you think you're better than everyone. What's wrong with middle class?

Money makes life easier, hence it equals happiness. Take away stress about paying bills, affording medical care, affording luxuries and hobbies, and I think anyone would be pretty happy. Nothing is wrong with being middle class, many people are happy in that category, but they will never achieve the same level of feeling care-free like the wealthy do.

The wealthy have a ton of stress. They are not carefree. I have rich family members and they have a ton of alcohol and drug issues. One wrong investment can ruin you. Overspending can ruin you, you piss off the wrong person it will ruin you. People will kill you for your money including your spouse and children. It's not fun and it can be very dangerous. You think rich people are nice? They will be at the crap out of anyone because they know they can get away with it. I had a us president in my face because I my relatives told him to go yell at me. I told him to f off. He got so pissed he started to punch the table, then he threw me into a wall. I didn't do anything. He did it for fun.

Money is a means to an end as much as wood is to a fire and shelter, water for thirst, food for hunger. It's provides the base of the survival pyramid in our society.

Money does make your life better. It will not necessarily make you happy but you can be pretty miserable when you are poor
